I did around 08.30 on Friday Morning. A 128GB Rose gold 7 plus. I cancelled it because my home delivery order is moving along and is due for delivery on Friday. Also I don't want to do the upgrade programme, I just want to buy my phone out right.
ah fair play, I hope more people start cancelling the 128 7+ in black so i can swoop in and get it on friday
 
Yes. I eventually figured this out. I've reserved one and I've been charged. I guess they've changed the process so you can't just reserve one and then not turn up. Once you pay, you're pretty much forced to go and collect it.

Makes much more sense instead of people reserving one 'just in case' or as a backup and denying others the opportunity to get one on launch day.

I had to cancel my collect in store on Friday night as I didn't want to be charged twice, since my home delivery order had already been charged to my card.

But yes definitely a better way of doing things. Stops automated reservations and industrial-scale scalping being so easy.

In regards to the Store iPhone Availability Timeline (thanks @lgladdy this tool is excellent), if im reading this right my local store had stock of the 7+ Black & Jet Black this morning, allbeit for a short period and prob only a few units, correct?

You could cancel it from the app, which I did on Friday evening so it went back out there for someone else to pick up.

I can, yes. I agree. I was confused at first but this way is much better.

I'm wondering if we'll see even more stock come back in tomorrow as people who have had payment issues have their orders cancelled for not resolving today? (I saw someone earlier in this thread say they had until tonight to fix)

right. looks like they never had a few phones to reserve to start with then

I'm missing data for the first 28 minutes of reservations, so it's a bit useless for that - sorry! There were no Jet Black Pluses, but were some Jet Black non-pluses (but they all went quickly). I wasn't expecting them to have be using this system again, so I wasn't prepared :(
