Wonderful nearest 128Gb 7+ Black is 160 miles away and no JB anywhere. If the stock is made available at 10pm for purchase for pickup how is anyone going to reserve anything at 6am for IUP???

They aren't the same stock. I have a feeling 6am stock may be new delivery for the day, and the ones that go up at 10pm is stock not collected which was reserved online.

Unsure how accurate that is but something along those lines.

Thank you guys for the tip, cancelled my mid October delivery, reserved one for pickup tomorrow, 256GB black 7+, most stores right now have this configuration in stock, it is ridiculous that if I hadn't done that I would have to wait until the 12th-18th of October, it's not fair that apple are not honouring pre orderers

Yep I see 256Gb Black 7+ available in Plymouth, Exeter, Cardiff and Bristol, they must have gotten stock of the 256Gb today

Weirdly rejected too. I became slightly concerned over my credit score but all seems ok on the Clearscore app. A friend of friend was in the Apple Store late on launch day and the Specialist said he was the first person she had served that was accepted!

We don't know the exact terms Barclays are working to. But they clearly have a set idea of who is and isn't eligible.

Which is why I won't be getting a phone. I do not have the money. That's just the reality of the situation. IUP was the only way I was getting one.

Oh well, my 6 Plus is fine and next years is gonna be the big one. I'll have to save up for it or take out a 2 year contract with a network, something I'm guaranteed to be accepted for cause they're somehow totally different kinds of credit checks. Or at least more tolerant.

Wise decision mate, very wise
Props to you

Right. I'm gonna call it a day for me on this thread. I really wish you all the best with your phones and I'll see you around MacRumors!

There's not much left to say re Barclays and IUP. You'll either be accepted or you won't. For my own sanity, I won't be responding to any further notifications from this thread.

I'm tired and a tiny bit disappointed and frustrated, but it's for my own good.

Apple guy said delivery arrived at the store at 9am. Think I saw it available for reservation at 9.15am. Looks like as soon as delivery arrives at store it takes few mins to check in into inventory.

Definitely not the case because I'm seeing 256Gb Black 7+ all over south west that definitely wasn't available to reserve at 6am this morning, was one or two 128Gb 7+ that went in seconds and that was it.

All the best mate, I think ill be in the same position soon, so annoyed. Not sure what to do then cos the AUP sounded right up my street :(

Loads of devices around Europe just went live for in store pick up.

I'm convinced we will see the same around the UK at 10pm...

Anyone looking to purchase outright and pick up in store tomorrow I would advise you to hang about

Thank you thank you thank you - I've managed to reserve a (matt) Black 7+ to pick up tomorrow. Going to swap out the gold I got last week!! I was wanting the JB but as I'll be putting a case on I figure as long as I get the black screen I'll be happy!

Of course now I'll spend the next 18 hours trying to decide if I should swap or keep the gold to match my MacBook and Beats!!

Guys this isn't a matter of 'fair'. Apple have a significant number of (extremely expensive to own and rent) stores across the country which they NEED to stock. Imagine tescos not having any bread in their supermarkets as they kept it all for people who do their weekly shop online... Ok not exactly the same but.yoy get the point.

Everyone who ordered online got a date they would get their phones, there's nothing unfair about them keeping to those dates. If anyone is not happy and wants their phone sooner then they do like you and scour the stores.

And the point about the USA getting stock first.. Is there really any suprise apple supply their home territory ( and one of, if not the biggest)... Remember it's 'designed in California'

Interesting... not sure how where each stock is coming from then but I don't think 6am is just left overs from the 10pm drop. Can't rule it out though.

Oh, it's lovely.

Great seeing more + black stock arriving. Good to know if JB is just too high maintenance when it arrives, changing it for its matte sibling would be too tricky in early Oct

Just bagged a Silver Plus 128GB for collection from the Reading store tomorrow for the wife. Seems to be plenty of stock around as a few nearby stores had some.

Should go so way to appeasing her annoyance I got mine delivered earlier (she was waiting on Vodafone). ;) :D

You're right about the stores needing stock, irrespective of online order wait times

You're also right that apples most precious market is the USA. I'm shocked how us- centric their key notes still are. And they wouldn't dare dramatically raise prices in the US too
