Yeah! I had the script running on Push Bullet on my phone. I was having a nap (6am starts are rough) and got a notification at 1:30pm for stock in the Glasgow Buchanan St store. Paid immediately and got a reservation for 3:45. They were asking how I managed a reservation - I explained I had a little help from a script. The girl was genuinely interested in it, explaining that it takes them 5-10mins to find out if they have stock on their own system. They just check from the website - no idea why. Turns out quite a lot of staff didn't have 7 pluses, they've barely had any stock!
Edinburgh currently the only store in the world to have Jet Black 256!
Edit: she also mentioned that their stock allocation is based upon how many members of staff they have. If they don't have enough staff, they'll be sent less phones. They're not keeping stock of extra phones for some reason. More staff = more time slots = Apple send them more phones. I guess that's maybe why Edinburgh has had so few and Glasgow so many more. There were about 10 people in the queue when I arrived, too. I thought I'd be the only one!
Glad you've got it in the end and some interesting insight. Quite a lot of stock at Edinburgh just now. On another note, how was the Glasgow store looking? I've not been in since the refurbishment.
I have a delivery date of 4—10 Oct. Just bagged myself one too — iPhone 7+, 128GB to pickup in store tomorrow!
I had 7th-13th October. Apple have already taken my money for the pickup tomorrow so I've just cancelled my other order.
There's a LOT of iPhone 7 Plus stock just gone live in Apple reservations, get picking them up before they're gone and cancel your current orders
Exactly the same here-256 plus black bagged for tomorrow but JB due on 04-10th Oct. Decisions!
The 7 is the 10th flagship, released 9 years after the first (approx as that was y a September launch) so next year is the 10th anniversary year.

On a side note, John Lewis had stock of 5 Gold 7 Plus earlier this evening. Don't know if they had others / more by time I'd seen that, but they all went fairly quickly. Anyone know if they've been getting stock?

So, I cancelled the previous delivery order because a glitch meant it would never actually dispatch, and by sheer dumb luck managed to successfully create a new order for in-store pickup.
This time the payment went through fine, which means it's confirmed I'll be getting my purchase.
The time slot is 16:45-17:00. Would I still be able to pickup the item if I arrive slightly later than the allotted time? The store I chose closes at 20:00.

If you reserve the phone under the iPhone Upgrade Program you don't have to pay to reserve. You CAN pay cash, you do not have to sign up to the program. This is a sure fire way to reserve without paying a penny upfront - plus it's way faster.

I believe they will keep it reserved for a few hours, however it may depend on who you speak to. Call the store the pickup is due with and ask them just to be sure, chances are they will pop off the phone and talk to the manager and they'll okay it.

It's worth noting the page sometimes bugs, it's safer to go to your stores page (Google "Apple [store name]"), click the link for the reservation, then there will be a link on the next page. On the final page you'll choose your store from the drop down and the phone you wanna reserve.
