iPhone 7/7+ - UK Orders & Dispatches Thread

I've got 2 on order, 32gb matte black 7 for delivery and a 128gb matte black 7 for in store pickup.

Delivery phone has went to Preparing for Dispatch, in store pickup still Processing.

Don't think we will be able to track in store pickups the same way we do home delivery?

I think it's changed this year. Go back a page or two.

Basically, we think, we're reserving it but it's being shipped to the Apple Store instead of my house. So I'll be charged when it leaves and arrives at the store.

I wish there was an option to turn off fraud protection on your bank account and forfeit your ability to claim back fraudulent purchases from your bank.

Then I'd have my proper current account and a second "dumb" account with no fraud protection that I just top up for when I need to buy something without any hurdles!

Ok I thought you reserved it using the link earlier in the thread (the upgrade program reservation link which just required email no payment details)
 
This is nuts. My order placed at 08.20am for a 256mb silver 7 plus is the 27th-29th September but i was just messing about on the store and if i order the same model now, its say delivery will be the 20th to the 22nd September. Doesn't make sense :-(

Only the second delivery bracket? The first being 6-8 days, then 2-3 weeks. At least I think.

These days Apple are very conservative with their delivery dates. I remember the days when things would always arrive at the end of the window, but now things have changed.

When the Apple Watch came out, I had one on order with a 4-6 week wait time. It came on launch day!

When the 12" MacBooks came out, they arrived before the delivery window.

When the Space Black Milanese Loop was added to the range, it was shipping in "5-8 business days". It shipped the next day.

And there are no walk-ins this time round. Surplus stock won't be going to stores. It will go to fulfilling orders sooner.

There is hope!!!

You are lucky! I got the exact model you have with a fairly early confirmation email (8:06) and my dates haven't changed!

Exactly the same time as you pal, we'll see what happens but I would be amazed if Apple didn't get a few JB Plus' out there in time, as for Very buyers etc, if they're being told its coming next week, I don't see why Apple would provide handsets to external companies and not stock their own store...

Interesting, this morning I called up to change my address and the nice lady did it for me without any issues. This was during the Order Placed stage.

Sorry, I only replied knowing that I did it when I ordered my MacBook. I ordered through o2 as an upgrade so I can't help much in this scenario.

I missed that

Are people with Very JB Plus orders seeing movement?

Either way it has to be us at the front of the queue.
 
Anyone who's going down the sim free route - are you considering John Lewis?
2 year guarantee and all?
Doesn't seem they're doing pre-orders but they do have a coming soon thing on their site and given previous Apple launches they have had stock day one.
 
I ordered the 7+ black 256gb, got confirmation email at 8:14. Dispactch 6-8 business day with an estimated delivery 27-29 september. Really hope it moves
