I can relate to this but im honestly glad i am not experiencing it with my new 7+, but i experienced it with my 6. It was always the top left corner where the volume buttons were, i could even see the distance between the bezel and the screen and when i pressed it the screen would move down slightly and it always had this clicking noise. sometimes when i hold it a certain way, different parts of the screen would click. I mean, i shouldnt have to be careful of how i hold it...i just wanna pick it up or use it normally without worrying about hearing that stupid sound and feeling like my iphone is all loosey goosey :p

I am having the same issue on my 7. When I tap on the top right hand side of my screen it is not a solid feel. And I can hear it. It is very little but it definitely there and bothering me. I don't know if it's worth it to return it even though I'm still in my 14 day window.
[doublepost=1475035468][/doublepost]It has to be a strong tap for me to hear the clicky noise but still bothers me.

You're hearing the camera assembly more than likely if it's the top right. I can tap there on my 7 Plus and hear the rattle of the camera on the back.

Like others I tightened up the screws with a pentalobe 2 screwdriver and the creaking is gone unless I twist it hard, Before I barley twisted it and it creaked bad. I recommend people that don't have this tool take it to the Apple store and see if they will do it for you. Tell them that has been the solution for people that have this problem online. These screws esp the screw heads do strip easily so don't put too much torque into it.

Now I just find its the Apple leather case that creaks a bit against the corners of the phone.

Mine was replaced by the Genius Bar. No more noise

Manager at my local store told me a few people came in with the same issue. The Genius techs (2 of them) said they heard it and it should NOT happen.

If the screws don't fix it for you, or if you want some peace of mind, I recommend you go to the Genius Bar and at least see what they have to say about it. I got a replacement but it was, luckily, the last one they had in stock.

It was good to get some sort of validation from Apple about this issue.

I returned my 7+ and got my $1,067.00 back. I'm not crowd funding Apple in hopes that they get their act together in China with quality control. Every 7+ on display creaked and cracked with the slightest faintest touch so between that and the fact that they were out of stock and I'm burned out with Apple's issues I moved on to my 6S+ and all it's lag but no creaking...LOL

My 6s plus doesn't lag.

It's a very common problem for the 7 Plus, but no need to panic, I have THE SOLUTION.

Cause: the bottom pentalobe screws aren't tightly screwed.
Solution: find yourself a 0.8mm pentalobe screw driver. Loose these 2 screws a little bit, then screw them back tightly while using your hand to firmly press the screen.
Caution: be careful when you deal with these screws, you don't want strip them.

Make sure you use a quality screwdriver too with a hardened true pentalobe tip.

Did this and still clicks/creaks

I just did an express replacment for this issue as well as the recorded video white noise issue. They put a hold on my card until they get the damaged phone, but I get to keep it until my new arrives. I just hope both issues are corrected, or I will do it again.

At least Apple has no issues with trying to make it right. :)

Fixed mine but stripped the head of 1 screw a little. Could care less I'm on the apple upgrade plan and have apple care issues resolved.

Did they give you an estimate as to when the new phone will arrive?

Perhaps try to apply a little bit of force while tightening the screws?

Eesh, I wouldn't recommend this. Unless people are far away from a store they should just take it in rather than risk stripping the screws or damaging it somehow.

Okay. Just a follow-up. I just received an email that said my replacement phone will ship out in a few days, and when it does, they will email a tracking number. Then, it goes through the steps of how I ship my damaged phone back after I receive the new phone.

it is not dumb!

I payed 1009 € for this phone. The iPhone 6S Plus - does not - creak at all. my iphone 6s neither.

It does not ONLY creak when its twisted! It is - also - creaking if you just use force touch on the display. Twisting the phone just prooves that the problem exists.

MAYBE its legit not to call this an apparent defect, and I say that as a lawyer, but for me it is not acceptable for a phone in this price range. It depends on how meticulous the judge would be in a real lawsuit

Got the same problem on my black 128gb iPhone 7+

I wouldn't have minded much until I saw this post and started force touching around the bottom left near the home (not a button anymore) button...

With all these users experiencing the same problem, I think it's safe to say this is a huge QC defect in a majority of the iPhone 7+'s....

TRY THIS people. I agree with razr390's situation as I have indeed heard from a Genius Bar staff before that stores do carry extra iPhones JUST for the purpose of giving them away as replacement units. Now whether or not even these replacement units are out of stock just as the iPhone 7 pluses are...is another question.

Suggestion: Call/visit your local Apple Store and ask if they can replicate the creaking sound and if they have extra iPhones of your model in stock.

I would really try to get the genius bar to tighten the screws for those affected esp if you have a good screen etc and spent 24 hours like I did restoring all my pics, spottily music etc. This has resolved the issue for many off us as they just are not getting tightened enough at foxconn. The genius bar has this tool as they replace screens. Have them try that first and if it does not work then exchange. Yes it is a QC issue but it does not mean the phone is defective. Otherwise you can go through all the hassle of an exchange/restore etc and prob get another with the same issue.

I had a same problem (creaking/clicking sound when holding left-top and right-bottom corners) with my iphone 7plus rose gold. I just got an replacement, but unfortunately it has a same issue. I am not sure if it is worth to try another replacement in apple store if the most of iphone 7 plus have this issue... Got really disappointed in apple's QC.

I'm just going to tighten mine as that's the only issue I have and I don't want to play the lottery.
