My iPad Pro 9.7 had this near the bottom right corner when I first got it. Noticed it when trying to remove the charging cable one day. Replaced it and the new one is perfect. Seems like the glue did not set in properly. They crank these products out faster and faster while ignoring the QA process.

Well I hope you're right, I've personally had 4 different 7+'s and they all did it to some degree but each requires different force to reproduce the sound. The bastards are refusing to replace it again for the clicking unless they can confirm a new iPhone won't have the problem. They actually told me it's expected! "Well if it's within spec..." said the corner cutting prick. "Unless something changes in manufacturing we won't issue you a replacement for the same problem"

3 of the phones were black 1 jet black
So whoever said the other colors are different could still be right

I feel like a similar issue came around with the 6/6+ home button loose/making noise issue. If we wait a bit they'll change the process and/or we will be able to have them swapped again.

But they will have white noise on the video recording :(

Yeah, a bit concerned as I've not noticed that issue with my current phone.

Since mine only does it when twisting the I'm just going to wait until I get a mark or scratch on the screen to make it worthwhile and if not I'll just swap it towards the end of my warranty.

I think that's from the camera unit. I've checked 5 iPhone 7 pluses and they all do it when twisted.

Replacement device came in today. Creaking is much less than prior phone. It will do for now! Haven't had the hissing noise...yet.
How loud is the hissing for you? Because all of my iPhones make a sound if you put your ear to the back and it's running something substantial.

Well after 2 different iPhone 7 plus's. I've decided to return it tommorrow before my 14 days and get my money back. It is my opinion that for over 800$ my phone should not click or creak when under a small amount of force (ie using force touch). I am going back to my galaxy s6 edge plus for the time being, and will either wait until this problem is resolved or maybe even buy a 6s.

I agree that they need to get it together, especially at this price point.

The bottom right corner of my 6 Plus has always clicked and popped when pressed, and now the screen is starting to separate from the body there. To hear that brand new 7+s have the same problem is not making me feel good about the one I have on order. :|

Be careful brobstfish... Mac rumors poster Relentless Power will scold you for complaining about defective Apple products....LOL
In all seriousness, I returned my 7+ and went back to my 6S+ until Apple one day gets their $ H I T together in China

I also have this problem with the 128g black 7+. I tried showing my mom to see if she had a screwdriver I could borrow and she said I'm "making $&@$ up" and "probably looked online for iPhone 7 problems and now think I have them" (I saw this forum after I noticed it) Hopefully the people at Sprint will be more helpful and have a screwdriver for this and not need a new phone. Best of luck to anyone else with this problem.

Just got my replacement and the issue seems to be fixed. But there is still a creaking sound coming from the camera module. Guess it's cause of the dual camera setup

I signed up just so that i could post this to you guys..

My 7 plus had all the creaking noise when i ever so lightly twist it or while 3d touching the bottom right app.

i even made a genius appointment. i just gave the tightening the screw a try.

VOILA!! ITS GONE. I tested it thorough and no sound. Now it feels like a single piece of hardware.

So just use the right Penta lobe and just try tightening a little bit very carefully.

This solved mine. cheers.

At Fiordaliso Apple Store in Milan, Italy i've checked along with the Genius Bar guy we tried 10 iPhone 7 plus and they all do it when twisted.

Mines creaking when I press the bottom right corner. I thought I had it fixed when I tightened the screws.

Can't quite believe it worked, but (very!) slightly loosening the screws on mine (which had alternating clicking between the bottom left and right corners) seems to have pretty much fixed it!

Ok guys so I already have a replacement on the way so today I was a little more inclined to try and find a solution with tightening the screws. I started by loosening them by 3/4ths a turn then slowly turning 1/4th a turn and testing to see if it still made the clicking noise. After 1 1/4th it started only being on one side. Then I went 2 more and now the phone doesn't make the noise and overall feels a LOT more solid in its case.

I am still waiting on my replacement but I am much more at ease that it isn't still making the sound.

Apple Store nearest me wouldn't even try the loosening/tightening of the screws. Complete waste of time actually. Can anyone confirm which pentalobe screw driver is the "best"? Want to make sure I don't get the cheapy one.
