I'd love to tell ya, but even pre-ordering it through AT&T, it STILL wont even SHIP till Dec 2nd.... Apple is pissing off customers with intentionally not having enough product to ship out, to keep the prices and interest artificially inflated. With fewer sales they wont be able to keep this practice up much longer...

It could be from the raise to wake feature if you have it turned on. Any time the lock screen shows it will go under that category.
also with notifications that show on the Lock Screen. after I disabled Raise to Wake, I wondered why mine was still pretty high. then I disabled Screen Lock notifications for a bunch of apps that didn't matter, and it made a difference.

Hello all.
I got my iPhone 7 Plus on Friday. I love it, huge upgrade from my 6.
Anyway, I was curious to see the battery life of other iPhone 7 Plus users. I know it's only been two full days, but looking to get some input on this. Currently I'm at 23% and have 5hr43min of usage with 11hr7min of standby. I've been doing a lot of different stuff with it, including shooting a minute or so of 4K video to test it out, and using it for a short period of time (couple minutes or so) at full brightness while taking pictures outdoors.
On average, is this about normal for a Plus? This is my first Plus model so I'm just wondering. Coming from an iTunes backup of my 6 which did not do too well in battery, was always low by the end of day, would this affect battery at all? Or is it nothing to be concerned about? Appreciate any input, also post what your 7 Plus battery is like.

The 1st couple of days didn't seem to good but that was probably due to higher than normal usage while setting up and playing/testing but since then I have been more than pleased with battery life on my 7 Plus.

Mine lost 19% over night doing nothing. Nothing unusual showing in battery usage.
You have many notifications going through the night? I always have a load of twitter notifications during the night so if i had 10-14% drop I guess i knew why. If signal is low sometimes that can be a cause.

Signal was great. Not a ton of notifications. I turn most of them off from the lockscreen. And DnD was on.

I have 7 Plus from a 6. One thing that has happened to me a few times since I set it up from backup is the battery stays at 80% or so after charging all night. Has anyone had that issue? Is there anyway to resolve it?

I noticed the other day that when my 7 plus is laid on my desk, it builds up around 4 mins of usage every hour, even when not in use. This is also what I get through the night when the phone is laid next to my bed.

However, when I have the phone next to me whilst watching TV, it builds up around 20mins, and as much as 40mins of usage when in standby.

When I'm sat watching TV, I put my phone with the remotes on an armrest tray. According to the phones compass app, this puts it at a 22 degree angle.

Anyway, I had some time tonight, so I did some testing. First I placed it how I normally do for an hour, then turned it 180 degrees, so it was at the same angle, but upside down with the screen still facing up, and left it for an hour.

I did this a few times, and the results were consistent.

When angled in the normal orientation, the phone shows 20-40mins usage when in standby. When angled with the screen upside down, it uses 4-5 mins per hour of standby.

I'm guessing the angle is messing with the raise to wake feature. Can't think what else it might be.

I will turn raise to wake off tomorrow just to test, but it's a feature I like, so I won't leave it off. I just need to learn how to put the phone down, as clearly I'm putting it down wrong :)

Have to say that I'm really impressed with the battery life on the plus, coming from the 6s. When using it really does have good endurance, like a few others have said there is bout a 10% drain over night for some reason that I can't seem to pinpoint, but have faith in Apple to sort!
Have no doubt that with average or moderate use this is a 2 -3 day phone.

About 8 hrs less standby time. Turned back on any radio button i shut off to get more standby time, so not all that bad.
I was still getting about 50 hrs standby on 6s+ between charge.

5hr 55min usage, 14hr 32min standby. I'm at 36%. Did some video streaming, maybe a half hour or so. Not too sure how good this is.
