iPhone 8 Event Date Rumored for September 12, With Device Launching September 22

I will be getting the iPhone 8 obviously based off rumours, we don't know for sure until Apple announce. But yea I'm getting the 8.

I call some serious Bull S*** on this rumor. Apple has always sent out the invitation in the last full week of August and held the iPhone events in the first full week of September. Especially with the later iPhone generations. Correct me if I'm wrong. I expect to see the invitation tomorrow or Friday. We will see.

On the contrary, recent rumors have indicated a later launch this year. If those rumors are accurate, then perhaps the Keynote could be held slightly later. So I'm not ruling it out altogether that the Keynote may not be until approximately a week later.

Hoping there is a surprise announcement of an amazing tv subscription. Comcast and their hostile attitudes towards customers by not supporting Apple TV and iOS logins for channels we pay them for over, delivered internet we also pay them for, is pathetic and I can't wait to drop them. (At least the tv part. Sadly, like most of the company, I have to buy their internet service.)

I was hoping to hang on to my iPhone 6+ that I got at launch until this new one came out, but it finally developed the touch disease about a month and a half ago...so I'll be enjoying my (PRODUCT)RED 7+ for a while yet haha. But good plan and good luck!

Here are the dates of the iPhone Media events for the past years and when the events were sent out corresponding to each iPhone event:

• iPhone 7 - 9/7/16, invites sent out: 8/29/16
• iPhone 6S - 9/9/15, invites sent out: 8/27/15
• iPhone 6 - 9/9/14, invites sent out: 8/28/14
• iPhone 5S/5c - 9/10/13, invites sent out: 9/3/13

So your statement is correct until the iPhone 5S/5c announcement where the invites weren't sent out until September...

In other words, there is a precedent for holding out the announcement of the event until September...

Nah.

It will give something similar to the screen size of the plus model phone in the form factor of the 4.7 inch. That is a big win for people like me who like the bigger screen but don't want the huge plus phone. Brings the duel camera to a smaller form factor aswell.
