Does anyone here know someone or actually work at one of the carrier stores? Black out dates for vacation are a pretty good indicator of launch date.
What matters is when pre ordering starts. Last time I got lucky .. in and out in 3 mins using the apple store app
On the contrary, recent rumors have indicated a later launch this year. If those rumors are accurate, then perhaps the Keynote could be held slightly later. So I'm not ruling it out altogether that the Keynote may not be until approximately a week later.
We can already reserve the phone at Telekom in Germany. They obviously wont say which phone it is but they do it every year
I still think it's goofy as hell they would seriously offer and radically different design in two of the 3 they release. That's so potato.

*Yawn* Isn't that joke getting a bit old now? I'd think it's a safe bet that their batteries are now a lot safer considering they'd lost $17bn in sales and invested a decent amount into battery safety now. No need to save for a fire extinguisher either, the money i'd save from buying the iPhone 8 should cover a few fire extinguishers

Hoping there is a surprise announcement of an amazing tv subscription. Comcast and their hostile attitudes towards customers by not supporting Apple TV and iOS logins for channels we pay them for over, delivered internet we also pay them for, is pathetic and I can't wait to drop them. (At least the tv part. Sadly, like most of the company, I have to buy their internet service.)

I was hoping to hang on to my iPhone 6+ that I got at launch until this new one came out, but it finally developed the touch disease about a month and a half ago...so I'll be enjoying my (PRODUCT)RED 7+ for a while yet haha. But good plan and good luck!

Here are the dates of the iPhone Media events for the past years and when the events were sent out corresponding to each iPhone event:
- iPhone 7 - 9/7/16, invites sent out: 8/29/16
- iPhone 6S - 9/9/15, invites sent out: 8/27/15
- iPhone 6 - 9/9/14, invites sent out: 8/28/14
- iPhone 5S/5c - 9/10/13, invites sent out: 9/3/13
In other words, there is a precedent for holding out the announcement of the event until September...
Agree on the iPad. I have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro -- and running Beta 6 -- its great
I will not get another Apple product with a bezel around the screen. At least not a bigger one like the current products.

It will give something similar to the screen size of the plus model phone in the form factor of the 4.7 inch. That is a big win for people like me who like the bigger screen but don't want the huge plus phone. Brings the duel camera to a smaller form factor aswell.
This will be a phone where waiting at least 2 months after its launch will be a smart idea. So much new tech in it that a new "RandomThingy"gate will definitely pop up
