iPhone Camping Begins, 5th Avenue NYC

The guy is probably hired by Apple to generate the hype. Seriously, savvy buyers will wait for review, update version of iPhone. Just remember the halo effect when PS3 first launched! Now Sony needed to cut price on PS3 in order to survive the game platform. Hefty $600 dollars phone + data/talk service plan charge for 2 years is not going to attract mass market.

IDk guys..but if you could somehow transfer the plan for the phone..these guys could easily double or triple there money..or more....but idk if u can transfer a cell plan..not sure how that could/would work.

are you sure he didn't say I am retarded and not retired... getting in line is one thing, for me personally it would be way to early, but again it is their lives so I really don't take issue with the decision. All I will say though is that guy was one incoherent babbling fool.
 
That dude is gonna be the grossest tool ever, i'd laugh if Friday afternoon or something he got held up by like a hobo for his $600 + tax so he couldn't buy his precious iPhone :D

Assuming you are already with AT&T, it is quite easy to transfer plans, with a few nominal fees.

I mean are you freaking serious? There is no way Apple hired these two buffoons. Take Steve Job's obsession over Apple PR and how he conducts a keynote and then ask yourself, do you think for a moment Apple really hired these guys. Not a chance!
 
Part of me wants to say not to contribute to such childish behavior, but who really cares anymore.

Also, if they're getting iPhone shipments early why not start doling them out?

Send them a couple of Zunes so they can squirt each other the next 4 days. That would pass the time for them.

Wouldn't they get arrested for vagrancy? To quote my wife, "Sad people". It'd be interesting to see what happens here if he mentioned on national TV that he was an MR member.

I did it by posting a video of my TV (of the first known AppleTV ad) to Google Video. I was not wacky enough to post my own image, only that of the TV and the Apple TV on it :)

This is an example of the infamous 15 minutes of fame.

The sacrifice of half a week of your life, and whatever that entails does seem crazy to me, but then so does the movie and TV shows "Jacka$$". They are commercially viable operations.

The sponsorship opportunities! Where's his agent and publicity firm?

idk why you all are bashing them its a fun experience camping out, you get on TV, you get to meet people, oh yeah and your the first with the iphone. Alright idk about 100 hours early but id do it on say..thursday night just for the fun.:D
