Since apple discontiued SE I switched to Google Pixel and it blows iphone to pieces in many aspects but I still miss the size of SE, even slighlty smaller would be nice; these large phones are OK once in a while for larger screen but carrying them all day almost like a brick and unable to use with one hand just kills it for me; Hmmm if these companies dont start making smaller phones I may just switch to those Palm or whatever its crazy man, crazy

I believe Apple produce them in small batches just for earn some money and make financial loss less:)
Nah... the phone I got came with New Zealand as the default country during initial setup. So my guess would be that this is leftover unsold stock from elsewhere, instead.

I just don’t understand how so many people, particularly men, seem to prefer larger sized phones than the SE. I am a tall and big guy and phones larger than the SE just seem way to big. An SE is as large a phone as I find comfortable in my pocket. I can’t imagine I am that much of a minority, but maybe I am. Regardless, I’ll hold onto my SE as long as I can unless Apple makes a new or updated phone the same size.

My biggest complaint with the SE is the screen quality. It is absolutely trash for a device I use as a daily driver (I don't need an explanation of it is an updated iPhone 5). I love everything else about the SE and welcome an updated version, but the screen is such an eye sore.

I very much prefer the size of the SE, but I also noticed an iPad was a must own product (for me personally). With the X, I find myself just using that vs. pulling out the iPad.

I think it's a combination of low price and small form factor that everyone loves about this phone.

What else could it be?

Could also be some of these factors (they're all part of why I love it anyway):

No notch
The flat edges
No camera bump
The choice of being able to use a built-in headphone jack socket
Easy to charge and plug in headphones at the same time, no adapters or dongles required
Home Button
TouchID
Bezels to hold onto whilst not obscuring the screen
Sharp square corners on the display instead of rounded corners
Arguably the last true product of the Steve Job-era iPhone designs...

But yeah, the small form factor and low price are probably two of the most popular reasons people who love this phone love this phone.

Ridicule all you want. There are people here who literally think it was and would be Apple’s most popular phone.

It’s too small unless you have baby hands.
Says who?
I think the new ones are too big unless you have gorilla hands.

Can’t agree more to that.
The big phones can hardly fit in my packets at all.

Why do you gotta quote me? There is no issue other than it is out dated? What is YOUR point?
You stated it is outdated without pointing out how is that an issue.
Hence I am intrigued to know what are you trying to tell.

Explanation for its naming monicker:
iPhone (common)SE(nse in design, function and price).

Best iPhone EVER.

When my old SE died 1 1/2 month ago, I couldn’t justify buying a new SE. even though I do love the small form factor. Have only had that small sized phones. SE form felt old and boring.
But if Apple released a bezel free modern up to speed SE it could be the next phone.

For now I’m really happy with my RED half iPad mini phone :D
The XR is speedy and very RED.

lol.. the small phone crowd just does not die out on these forums.....

Nor is it dying out on the street either. There is a persistent market for it, regardless how small since it serves a practical purpose the larger phones do not. Nothing funny about it.

I think they're testing the interest in the small format SE. If these sell well (and they are), they may bring back a new updated SE.

I would hope so. Apple's problem is that they pull the old stuff soon after the new stuff is released, leaving people no choice (unless they want third-party refurbished). If they continued to manufacture the iPhone SE, the 2012 MacBook Pro and the 2012 Mac Pro, and simply let the market decide, they would surely find out what the people really want.

It's disingenuous for corporations (or governments, come to that) to say, "This is what the people want," when all the people have to choose from is lousy or lousier.

I agree with you. Remember some years ago when the smaller the cell phone, the more expensive due to its practicality?
I first got a 3GS and thought it was great and very portable, and moved some years later to a weird stretched iPhone 5s that got away with the design nicely. Then replaced the 5s with a 6s when it was released because I wanted to try the new stuff and size. I sold that iPhone 6s four months later because the new stuff was gimmicky and replaced it with an SE because I actually felt the 6s uncomfortable to carry in either safety vests, jackets, or any assortment of pockets. Then I got as a backup to the SE phone another 3GS that still works extremely well for phone calls, music, quickly checking mail and sending quick text messages (and for some reason, the keyboard in iOS 6 is way more accurate than any keyboards on iOS 7 and later iterations.) Nostalgia, form and function? Check, check and check...

The iPhone X is the same size as the iPhone 6, 7, and 8. Maybe wear looser pants?

Name a large company selling a lot of 4 inch phones? People don't want them.

I Think you are thinking too much to what i said. Plain and simple: outdated product.

I'm not particularly big but I find the iPhone 6 was the most natural fitting phone I've ever used. It was perfectly sized and weighted for my hands.

The 8 is noticeably heavier due to the glass back, which I dislike.

I can see how the 5/5S/5C/SE is ideal for many. In fact, the 5C was the next most comfortable iPhone, and IMO the most comfortable without a case since the plastic is so much less slippery.

It is a budget phone at this point.
I am being pedantic here, but there is _nothing_ budget about the SE or any of Apples products. The SE was an entry-level device with a cheaper price point. In terms of the hardware that was used on the SE, it still was a really solid phone with the build and construction.

Data to support that?

Here is my data: No major company makes a 4 inch phone.
