Apple birmingham is great for iphones. in stock every day and they have loads of white ones which is even better!!!!
Does anyone know how stock of 16GB blacks is at the Regent Street Apple store? I'm planning on making a special three hour round trip tommorrow, and although the iPhone stock checker site says they have stock i don't trust it!
Anybody?
If you go on http://apple.com/uk/retail/iphone later on tonight you'll find out.

Order Apple iPhone today and have it delivered on 25th July. Stock available in stores on 24th July. Please check with your local store.
I ordered a 16GB (for delivery said:Are you upgrading from an existing iPhone contract? It seems the online option is only for new customers.
I've heard lots of people say its totally inaccurate, thus why i said the above!

Hey guys,
I'm planning on getting a white one from Apple Store regent street tomorrow if they have stock,
Does anyone know if you need any form of identification, utility bills, etc?
Thanks!
Bring photo ID, a household bill and a credit card. It's unlikely you'll need to bill or the ID but it will definitely help. Don't turn it into a wasted trip!
Awesome, thanks!Definitely don't wanna waste the trip, i'm in Swindon so its a good 2 hours from my house to the apple store!
I'm only a student, so i don't have a household bill really, but i've got my T-Mobile bill and credit/bank card statements.. Hopefully that'll be enough!?
Yeah that'll be fine. It's just that if you're buying the iPhone (not upgrading, which you cant do at an Apple store) I think they require you to pay by card. And because you're starting a contract they'll want some ID.
Enjoy the new phone
Am I right in thinking that Apple retail stores open up the box and activate it in store, whereas O2 stores don't touch the box and let you do it at home?
Hi all,
Just back from Regent Street, and thought this might help some of you:-
- stock: they seemed quite confident that they would have enough stock to meet demand. However, they did say that they were starting to run low on the black 16Gb model.
- queues: I started at 11.30am. Queue starts upstairs (seated), and any extra is accommodated downstairs by the stairs. I started in a queue of about 10 downstairs, and was upstairs in about 15 minutes. I queued for just over an hour in total, and then the activation/setup took about 20-30 minutes. It seems that if your details are non-standard in any way, they need to phone up O2. Otherwise, it shouldn't take much more than 15 minutes.
- what to bring: as much as possible! Take passport, driving license, utility bills. Make sure you have something with your address on (bank statement). I saw about 5 people try to join the queue without the necessary paperwork. If the queue is short you'll be kicking yourself!
Any other questions, I'll do my best to help.
