How do I reserve to buy iPhone 6s in store for a date other than 8/25/15? Say, for example, I want to buy in store on 8/28/15, since on 8/25/15 the store I want to buy from does not have the iPhone 6s model I prefer? Is there a way to reserve on a different date?
I'm wondering about this, too. Could be because their supply chain is so unpredictable that they don't want to get into making future appointments? Every model/carrier I was interested in was sold out for 09/25 appointments and I'm like why can't I make an appointment for a few days later? Makes me wonder if the Upgrade Program is a Day 1 special or something.

Would the strategy to 'return' a delivered phone to repurchase under Apple Financing work if you ordered against NEXT ?

Not saying it wouldn't work but you're switching from a plan that pays AT&T to a plan that pays Apple. That's asking for problems there. Haha

I've always had phones delivered so I hope picking up won't be too much of an inconvenience.

Same. I hate going to the store on launch day. It's such a mess. Hoping next year, they let people who are upgrading (who got on the program this year) can have the phone delivered since we're in their system now.

I thought this was strange as well. But perhaps Apple wants to see where they are inventory-wise before opening up future dates.

So I'm currently on Cricket (but also interested in T-Mobile's $30 prepaid plan). Would I even be able to go the iPhone Upgrade Plan route? I don't see why not considering the phone is being financed through Apple (by Citizens One), but I'm still unsure if I'm going to be forced into setting up an account with one of the major 4 carriers. Kinda seems like it's tied to post paid, which is lame considering it has nothing to do with the carriers, as the phones come unlocked when purchased this way.

So....I realized that I set up an appointment for a time that cuts it a bit too short if there are any delays. No way to change it - an Apple representative tried - but as times were still available for an hour earlier, I just made another reservation. I feel bad about it, but I figure even if I don't take the second phone, they're not going to have a problem selling it pretty darn quick that weekend.

Was told in store today that you have 30 minutes after your appointment time to get the phone... If you no-show, the phone goes to the next in line.

Not sure if this was already mentioned but Apple has updated their iPhone upgrade program that a credit check will be done to determine eligibility

Well, then, no one will mind!! Now, all I have to do is decide on which option by September 25th, gather all the necessary information, ID, credit card, dental records, DNA test, evidence of my flu shot vaccine, NSA clearance and NYC dog license, and I'm all set.

no carrier. it's unlocked. you can use it on any network, all Apple will care about the carrier is GSM or not

Am i understanding this correctly? So you pay 32.41/month, at the end of the 12 months, trade in ur ip6s for ip7, continue paying 32.41/mo for another 24 months and then you can keep ur ip7 if you decide to?

yes, once you pay the 24 months without trading it in, it's yours

Does anyone know how this will work on AT&T and Verzion. I am on NEXT and fine with waiting till the iPhone 7. However, since I went with NEXT, instead of paying $40 data package per phone, my wife and I get our data plans for $15 per phone or $40 - $25 discount. If I did this plan(things could change) next year, would AT&T charge me $40 for data instead of $15 since I'm not going through them? Just curious.

No, you don't get penalized for not upgrading with them. You would have two separate bills. ATT for your Mobile Share Value plan and Apple for your phone installments.

Anyone have their reservation show up on the Apple Store app?

mine did NOT. i received an email about 3:15am when i preordered with a reservation so i can join the upgrade program. it's worth it for me. bad part is the requirement of in-store on launch day. as another post stated, hopefully once we're in the program, in-store requirement will not be there for the upgrades down the road.

Of course Apple will check credit to determine eligibility at the apple store but didn't ask for it at the time for the reservation tho.

My reservation(s) did not show up as well; which is why we can't change it, I suspect. It seems to be an entirely different system. I did make sure to save the email. I'm assuming there are going to be a lot of lines, and my concern is that my name might accidentally not be on the list of reservations, so a printed copy of the confirmation email might be a help.

Has anyone else checked on if Apple will let you switch from a reserved iPhone paid in full up front to the Apple Upgrade Program?

I called today and I was referred to the Apple Store I reserved at. I called them and they didn't have an answer for me.

Anyone else get an actual answer?

i have not been given an answer either. I did the same thing, reserved a new phone at full price with reservation for the program. figured that was only way to reserve the phone

Does anyone know this.

I reserved a phone for upgrade program pickup on the 25. Will my dad be able to pick it up for me and just take one of my credit cards? I'm in China until October 10. Apple didn't know when I called.

My dad is an authorized account holder on the plan too.

Haha! Yup.

I doubt it. He can't sign the upgrade program finance contract for you, and the cashier will likely reject his attempt to use your credit card if he instead tries to pay in full up front.
