Not working in the UK for me. Anyone else try?

According to a comment in a different post, someone contacted Apple Customer Support and Apple Customer support said "The "pre-approval" is only for US customers as a beta, if it goes well they will launch it to more countries next year".

I cannot confirm nor deny if this is true, but after reading so many European users not being able to pre-approve, it wouldn't surprise me if this were the case.

Anyone else see this as you start the process?

"You can get preapproved for iPhone X until 4:00 pm MDT on 10.26"

...then in the email confirmation

"This preapproval will last for three days after pre-order begins."
[doublepost=1508793770][/doublepost]So what is the question!

You can get pre approved until day before pre sales start. You can then use your pre approval up to 3 days after pre sales start.

I'd like to sign up for the iPhone upgrade program in the USA but I can't seem to figure out how to get to the preapproval page. :(

Anyone else have any luck?

Same here I can enroll for iPhone 8 but Not the X. Guess ill stop by the Apple Store on lunch...

As someone has already pointed out:thanks, but this dosent answer the question. We want to know how the process worked AFTER this on pre-order day. What happens at 12:01 PST? Is it a button? A pop-up? Do we log in and pretend we didn’t do the preapproval?
When the app goes back on line to accept pre orders, there will be a message on top of screen just like there was during pre approval process. It's literally seconds to confirm and place order assuming u are not changing color or size

Yes that’s all I could find doesn’t show what final step(s) are needed
Just go to the App Store on the device and there will be a message to click to confirm order. Works like a charm and takes seconds.

I have a question somewhat related to the IUP (but not so much the preapproval)... last year I enrolled in the IUP. Now, this year, I was preapproved without issue...

I've looked on Citizen One and I owe about $350 on my old iPhone 7 that I *intend* on turning back into them. However, I see that they are trending upwards of $575 on eBay. Never mind for a moment the argument of it being worth it to sell or not, but, for those who did it last year... what if I don't want to send my phone back? Or, rather, what if I "lost" or "broke" my iPhone 7 between pre-ordering and receiving my new one and actually had nothing to send back?

Can I still get my new iPhoneX? Worst case they just charge me the remainder of the loan ($350)? I'm just wondering what the options were say I didn't have a phone to return?
You don't have to turn in your phone. Pickup new phone and you will be paying loan on both loans.

This is what I'm trying to figure out.

only for people already in the iUP program. And from my understanding, all you're getting is notification that you are "pre-approved" to upgrade to the iPX, as in you are now eligible given your time/payments into the iUP.

Yep... this just made my decision for me... guess I am paying full price.

I wanted to start the upgrade program so I could get the new phone next year(which hopefully has no notch), but the fact that it has to go through a credit approval at the same time as ordering the phone... NOPE! not gonna risk the extra time and server complication it will take. I'll keep my 830 point credit score clear of a loan for a dumb phone.

Was there an option to enroll for the program SIM free? I’m in a family plan and not the account holder and I don’t have all the info to confirm the account. iPhone 8 has the option but for those that were able to do the preapproval, was there the sim free option listed? Thanks
I don’t think they will offer the iPhone X SIM-free until supply catches up with demand. That’s how it has worked in previous years. The iPhone 8 is a bit like the iPhone 5c in that there is plenty of supply.

I used the apple support app a few weeks ago and they indicated we would be able to go through the pre-approval process this week. Once we go through it the exact phone we wanted will be in the cart and all you would have to do is open the apple store app, go to your bag, the phone would already be in the bag, then go through the normal checkout process.

From what i'm reading though it sounds like there will more than likely be a message at the top of the screen. It does seem that the IUP will save a few steps and hopefully allow those on the IUP to checkout quicker than those who aren't. I would think this being apples program there would be a guarantee to get the newest phone over those that aren't on it. Oh well, in the end it's just a computer that fits in your pocket.

Hurry and get pre-approved.... that way when you see Delivery on 3/1/2018.... you will still order because you had a hard pull on your credit.
Sorry, if you are already an IUP member, in good standing, you don't have a hard pull done on your credit.

This is what I was worried about as well....if you pre-approve...you have a hard pull on your credit....and if delivery is way off, and you decide to cancel and get something else, then you impacted your credit for no reason. Feels like you really have to be committed to a buy even without knowing the delivery date. Hmmmm
Not accurate, a HARD PULL is not done.

So do they ask you about store vs shipping or is this just shipped and then they send return box in the confirmation of order?

Idk, I froze my credit due to Equifax two weeks ago, and I got pre-approved on this upgrade plan a bit ago. I am already a member of this program with my current phone. So, either there is not hard pull of credit, or i got charged, and my credit wasn't really frozen.

If you are already an IUP member, there is no hard credit pull.

Just an FYI: I had a freeze on my Equifax report which prevented Citizen's One from approving my preorder. I was already enrolled in the IUP but they were still trying to pull my report. I'm not sure if it was a soft pull, but I had to lift the freeze to get pre-approved. I also had to then wait for Citizens One to call me to verify the order, but at least they're being quick about all these steps.

It says it can't find my Verizon account information

Anyone know what I can do to fix this?
