Just checked the fedex status and my phone went from ANCHORAGE, AK to OAKLAND, CA.....and I live in Oregon. Seems silly to skip the delivery state and go past it but I guess mine was on the same plane as the others reporting it was in oakland.
My estimated delivery is still 4:00pm on the 24th, although I received apples email for the 23rd

My guess is that this was a last minute change in policy, which is why fed-ex is taking a while to change the tracking info for everyone.

From the very start Fedex has shown the 23rd as it's date. At least for many many of us.

I still have an estimated delivery of June 24th by 4:30 on FedEx, but I find that a bit odd. I got the email from Apple, and the package is in Oakland which is only about 6 hrs away from me.

FedEx usually adds about a day to the "estimated delivery" date on some orders as a buffer period.

Got mine as well about 2 hours ago....

I guess w will all find out by tomorrow if this is real or not, No doubt we will get some kind of confirmation from Apple Headquarters if this is a true and correct email from them or some kind of fake that got all the emails for pre-orders.

Looking forward to waking up and seeing what the good word is!

And its from @apple.com.
Last few emails I've received from Apple have been from @x.apple.com where x is insideapple or orders, etc.

That is a normal route. The other is from AK to Memphis to Portland. I've received things from China via both routes with FedEx. If it is to be delivered in Oregon Wednesday it should show up in Portland early today, be trucked to the nearest local hub and then out for delivery Wednesday.

If you live in Southern Oregon it may go to Eugene today.

Mine is at the Memphis hub as well - and as in the past it takes 1 day to get to my local hub and then out for delivery, so it looks like Wed's the day!:D

Apple puts a hold on packages. It doesn't matter how long it usually takes - they hold it.

EDIT: Looks like this actually might be legit. I don't even know what to think.

So I rearranged some things at work to have Thursday off, now this... No way for me to switch to Wednesday now. No neighbors or family to sign for package. I can either try to go to sort facility after work, or wait for second delivery attempt on Thursday, or pre sign for the package and hope that it's fine on my door step..... I WAS FINE WITH THE ORIGINAL NORMAL 24TH LAUNCH DAY DELIVERY. LOL.

I received my shipment notification yesterday and the original delivery date on the FedEX tracking site was June 24th. Today the date changed to June 23rd.

So this email makes sense (to me at least).

Did anyone elses delivery date move up from the 24th to 23rd?

Well you can either do the pre-sign option (Though I did that once a few years ago and they still didn't leave the package), or just actually wait till the 24th, if you aren't there on the 23rd they will just come back the next day to attempt to deliver it again.

If it does happen, theres only one logical reason: to mock that idiot camping outside the Apple store in Dallas.
