iPhone will deliver on June 23rd email proof....

It's not a hoax/security breach....but if it makes you feel better, I have a tin-foil hat I can sell you.
I got the same email saying the 23rd from Apple, but FedEx still shows it in Anchorage and estimated delivery of 24th. We'll see. It sure would be nice if it were to come in tomorrow!!!!!
My FedEx tracking has been saying 23rd since it first went up and I got the email from Apple this morning that it would deliver tomorrow. Still, mine is stuck in Anchorage while several others in this thread have had theirs making the next leg of their journey. I have to burn vacation time to stay home and sign for it (too much theft to presign, facility is a long drive away) so I will have more reason to fear a possible transit delay.
one of my orders was supposedly in oakland last night which is less than 1 hour away but it has a delivery date of june 24.
another is still in alaska with a delivery date of june 23 =?
I'll say this... the closer and closer it gets to noon on the east coast, the more and more likely that this e-mail isn't a 'hoax' or a hacker having fun or a simple case of typos.
If this were to be a false e-mail, Apple surely would have responded to it by now or very very soon.
For those of you who have phones in Hong Kong or Alaska still, it could be that the phones are moving through the distribution centers too fast for them to scan and update the tracking information. Which sounds a lot like what I read about with the iPad and 3GS, that the tracking still showed them being in transit in Alaska, yet, the oweres were already opening their packages.
For the record, my phone has been in Memphis since 12:30 this morning.

Yours will probably get to yours tomorrow regardless of what the current delivery estimate states (assuming you did get the email from Apple this morning). I think mine has since moved onward in the chain, but FedEx tracking is slow to update; not all steps are real time (batch processing) and there were a lot of parcels going through that link in the chain.
1:49 am is 10:49 pm PDT, where Apple is located. (My math on that is right, right?)
Anyway. People have spoke to Apple reps. Some say the phones are on track for delivery tomorrow. Some say the 24th.
So, no one knows. As always.
Does Fedex ever deliver before the delivery date? Apples email says it will come on the 23rd even if Fedex says later. I have never had a fedex package come early unless Apple has some kind of control over fedex. The reason mine says the 24th is it missed the cutoff time for pickup in China.

i have had tracking say my box was sitting in one place across the country for days then all of a sudden it was at my door that afternoon. tracking information is not always reliable.
I ordered via premier and my tracking shows it will be delivered tomorrow as well. It's actually in transit from Texas now. I just seriously need to know if this is accurate so I can plan either tomorrow off work or Thursday!!!!!
This seems legit, given that my iPhone arrived in Newark, NJ early this morning. Newark is less than 2 hours from my house.
Both of mine are in Newark, NJ. I'm scared for them
