iPhone will deliver on June 23rd email proof....

I don't think it's a conspiracy. I just thought it was odd. Also everything online references the emails and no independent word from apple. A lot of people planned on being home on the 24th, and now they get this email. It would take apple all of 5 minutes to type of a press release that orders placed before x time could arrive as early as the 23rd and post it to the website. I personally would love to get it tomorrow as i am traveling from the 24th to the 29th and won't have access to the phone until then.
 
Mine departed Alaska, yesterday at 3:20 PM... I have no further update.. I have the email that says it will deliver tomorrow....

I agree with you that it's odd. Another reason is because it suggests you pre-sign. My FedEx man said we could not pre-sign for the iPhone and Apple would know that many of their deliveries are not eligible for pre-signing.

No order number? I agree, I would like to see a press release.

My order has not been updated since the 21st. Still shows it is in Alaska awaiting clearance (but on schedule for a 23rd delivery, which it has always said). I am in SoCal and my order says priority (I didn't pay for that, it just happened).

These do qualify for presigning though. They're Indirect Signature Required packages, so you're good to go.
 
anyone's iphone still in transit at ANCHORAGE who have exp delivery date of 23 and got the email? im in boston.

Hi PureRED, I think you are the poster who works for FedEx? Well, in my area, they're not accepting these. I know, my delivery man was here for something else yesterday and he said I cannot presign for this. I think it's because the retail value is higher than what we are really paying for it.

I think this happened last time as well.

The original e-mail confirmation from Apple said you could pre-sign and that surely was not faked so that fact does not make the follow up email stand out as bogus.

Yep, I got email for both my phones that they will be delivered tomorrow. One is in NJ and the other says AK.

I'm available for clearance in AK since Jun 21, 2010 1:40 PM. I got the letter last night about the 23rd and I am in GA. My original order letter also said the 23rd, but all Fedex info says 24th.

The Apple order status website has a link for pre-signing from right within your order. They qualify. They didn't in the past, but it looks like they do this time.

My iMac, for example, couldn't be pre-signed for and didn't give the option from the Apple order status site.

My two phones left Anchoridge at 3:20pm yesterday (like someone else's), but hasn't shown up at its destination yet. I got the email to expect delivery.

My phone says on fedex vehicle for delivery as of 8:53am PST this morning. What are the chances it gets delivered today? I'm not holding my breath, but what if.

From what FedEx has told me in the past drivers can accept or decline waivers at their discretion. If they cannot find a safe place to leave the package they are not required to leave it even if there is a wavier.

Tru dat! Same for the other courriers. The drivers have fiscal responsibility for lost of stolen packages so it is in their best interest to make sure it arrives to the correct recipient as addressed.

Maybe, but who knows. Im guessing some will get it tomorrow, while some of us will get it launch day. Either way its a win, we're a rare few out of the entire world getting iP4 on/before launch, thats kinda cool :cool:
 
Yeah, mine whose was shipped this morning says it'll be here tomorrow by 3 PM. I think everyone's says that :p.
