Pre-order supplies of the new iPhone X are now largely sold out, with the new iPhone models displaying shipping estimates well beyond the November 3 launch date. All models from all carriers at the moment list shipping estimates of five to six weeks in the United States, although some Sprint models can still be ordered for November 3 in-store pickup depending on the store. Other countries have similarly delayed shipping estimates.

Ahead of iPhone X pre-orders, rumors suggested supplies would be heavily constrained due to ongoing production issues with everything from the TrueDepth camera module to the flexible printed circuit board for the device's antenna.

With pre-order supplies of the iPhone X exhausted, some customers could be waiting for months to get their hands on one of Apple's new devices. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will not reach supply/demand balance for the iPhone X until well into the new year.

Apple began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone X at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, October 27, and it took just minutes for shipping estimates to start slipping. Shipping times are likely to get longer over the course of the next few hours as pre-orders continue to trickle in.

Customers who are hoping to get an iPhone X on launch day but weren't able to get a pre-order in early enough can try their luck waiting in line for a new device on launch day, Friday November 3.

Customers who were able to place an early iPhone X pre-order will begin receiving their devices starting next week.

Im with Xfinity Mobile. Said I will receive by November 17..

Except it didn't work - the app kept showing the placeholder updating page for nearly 10 minutes after the website allowed you in. That's with killing and restarting the app. So the website was way faster this year

But it worked well for me though. Got into the app by 3:06pm. Got 2 units of X 256GB SG for launch day delivery.

Trickle in??

Apple may be experiencing the biggest stream of pre-orders for any iPhone, ever. And your considered opinion is that the day's remaining pre-orders can most accurately be described as a "trickle"?

Is the editorial team at MR now run by Samsung's PR agency?
And Apple may not be experiencing what you've made-up in your head and are presenting as a fact to discredit the original post.

5-6 weeks here as well, not as bad as I thought. That's still in time for christmas with margin and it's already been several hours, so I wonder if it'll get much worse with the early pressure already off.

Less than I thought given unusually small supplies!

Combine that with similar shipping times as normal with big launches and my natural question is if Phone X is selling worse than expected?
In a few hours (at midnight on a weekday) the delivery estimates slipped from 1 week to 5-6 weeks and somehow that’s an indication of poor sales???

Oh... here we go with the legendary myth again.Apple is on a a business to make money by selling stuff and not pretending they are selling stuff. And seriously, who on this planet have £1000 to waste on whatever product out there is on high demand? Is like saying, lets see whats on high demand today? Oh...iPhone X is. No problem, I will get 2. When people spend that much money they generally got it planed/decided well before

To me and a lot of other apple users it isn’t a myth. When a company as big as Apple can’t make deadlines something is a miss. Everyone including Tim Cook says hes a supply chain wizard, has screwed up every launch since he became CEO. You know how popular this phone will be. Start making them sooner and not wait till the last minute to start production.

Even starting production late people see it as on purpose to cause over excitement for a product by saying “ look we can’t keep these in stock “. Well anybody should know that if you have 100 million people ordering the device and you only have 10 million made in 5-6 weeks you won’t have enough. Start production in July and you’d have enough

When is it available carrier free in the states? Won't there be a long wait list? if you're going there to live then fine but if (like me) you're going for a holiday then I'd be very surprised if you managed to get one from an Apple Store.
Fiancé is American so I’m there all the time and I’ll be moving there next year. Seems bizarre paying full price for a carrier locked phone.

Hi All. I initially had an issue contacting Att during the order process so I was given a “reservation”. However on second try, I was able to purchase a phone with no issue. Anyone know how to cancel this “reservation”?

I had one almost for pick up on the 3rd hit check out and error message came up! So pissed!

Ordered the X, bankaccount has been charged, message says: We will confirm delivery date when payment is received. Does this mean they have one reserved for me? Or do I need to worry I'll have to wait 5-6 weeks

im really annoyed i got on the site at the time but it took 15 minutes for the site to open up and i ended up getting 4th december. 15 minutes of refreshing to get a month wait.

Why don’t you check your Order Status to see what’s the delivery date? As long as your credit card has no issues, you should get it on whatever the date is stated there.

I have to agree in part with some of this. I'm a graphic designer, (16 years + now) and so Apple has been part of my life for a long time. iPad, iPhone, Magic Mouse, iMac, MacPro, MacBook, Apple Watch, Apple TV - i've had them all in various editions over the years... and slowly i've become disillusioned with how things are going. in my experience (i can't speak for others) customer service has dropped, the number of bugs I've experienced has risen, faults have risen.

of course, I have no experience of other brands, so others might be on the same par.

I've always hated Android in comparison to iOS, but recently i've found myself considering a galaxy S8 for the second time. My current iPhone 7 with the new OS is buggy as hell. The worst OS initial release for my experience. I've ordered the x and I will do a comparison with the S8 before deciding which way to turn. But with my entire professional life integrated into Apple so many devices it would be a hard change to make. But one I keep giving more and more consideration to.
Good luck. You’re in the Apple infrastructure. A couple of years ago, I bought a Samsung tablet. No iTunes. Completely different infrastructure. After a couple of days of trying I just returned it. I’m deep in the Rabbit hole. Also, as much as I bitch about Apple, I’m not worried about my phone or MBP being hacked. That’s a big give up.

I didn't use CC (stupid me), I used instant-wire-transfer (Netherlands thing).

Translation: Ready to ship We will confirm the delivery date when we receive the payment
