real or imagined -- there will most definitely be a ____gate.Apple better hope there’s no “gate.”
What you said is true, but only applies to phones purchased through the carrier.I don't know whether you are in the United States or not, so this may or may not apply to you. In the U.S., AT&T, T-mobile and Sprint will have their phones locked to their network even if you pay full price. AT&T will unlock a phone if you've paid it off. I don't know T-mobile's and Sprint's unlock policies.
I have read in multiple places that Verizon is required to leave its phones unlocked due to an agreement with the FCC for certain LTE spectrum.
As long as stores get any, say 500 or 1000 per store I'm fine. I'll be waiting an hour before they open, very unlikely to be more than 50 people waiting before me.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
For everyone who has some gripe about the iPhone X, in any way...don’t order it.
You’re welcome. I just saved you $1000.
These things are going to go for a fortune on eBay
I can already picture the BS marketing headline „iPhone X - fastest selling iPhone EVER. We got incredible demand! “

Yes or yes Apple stores should get some phones, the stores are at the core of Apple. Apple is not an online retailer.
Can’t wait for the scalpers.
That’s not how hardware or software works. Simply throwing more people at a problem isn’t a solution. Apple would’ve done this already if it was. They should have skipped releasing the 8/8+ so they can put all of their efforts into the X. A lot of people seemed to skip the iPhone 8 and are waiting on the X.
The stockholders are happy when the customer is happy. No customer means no stockholder because there will be no company.Apparently Apple values it's stockholders more than it's customers since it seems the investors get the information and customers get diddly squat. Feelin' the love?
Keep dreaming. You’ll be behind 175 bums buying 4 x’s each who’ve been hired by Hong Kong exporters...As long as stores get any, say 500 or 1000 per store I'm fine. I'll be waiting an hour before they open, very unlikely to be more than 50 people waiting before me.

Very observant, they are not 8.0 nor 8.0+ ... just simply 8 and 8+.
If my order got pushed as far as March, I’d cancel and wait another 6 months for the X v2.0Apple is going to get hammered by orders for the X and there will be a lot of people waiting for months for the new X to arrive, if I had to bet money on it right now. My guess is we'll only start to see availability open up mid to late February or maybe even March 2018, if they get better yields on the constrained components.

Why not ready Friday ? The 10th anniversary ipx timeline snuck up on them ? Sounds like bad decisions and last minute changes.I'm not buying this story. The flagship product from the biggest consumer electronics company on Earth is supposed to be landing in people's hands and store shelves in 6 weeks, but mass production hasn't begun yet and isn't expected to begin for another few weeks?
I doubt they would have announced a launch date at all if production wasn't already going. This isn't amateur hour. This isn't a kid rushing to get his book report done on time. This is a multi-billion dollar company that has been in this game for years.
