Shufflin' with Steve's magic stick
How'd they get it so right?
It's... it's... it's.... it's so, just what I want!
Talking about the iPod shuffle, here.
Got mine today, plugged it in, and started to copy over some of my fav songs from iTunes...
... What the Hell, let iTunes do it and surprise me-- click on AutoFilll.
We (me, my daughter, her husband and 3 kids 4,5,8) have about 5,000 songs in our combined library-- about 13 days worth.
It was magic-- like listening to the radio-- you never knew what was coming next!
The memories came cascading out.
I heard some songs that "I would NEVER play" ... but I sure ENJOYED hearing them!
I "discovered" some songs that I never heard before -- just like radio in the '50s.
Funny thing! iTunes randomly picked songs that I would never have selected. Even if I had, I would probably put them in some logical order or grouping.
That's the beauty of it! Each song was a surprise-- something to experience.. to cherish for the moment!
There is a synergy here... the experience was unbelievable! The detractors that insist you need a display and playlist/song navigation are dead wrong!
Look at the following playlist-- would you pick these? In this order? Marlene Detrich? Followed by Charlie Daniels? No chance!
It was great!
Now, these are all my favs... 'til my next shuffle experience!
