iPod Updates on Wednesday?

Ok there best be an update today as I just stopped my girlfriend from buying a mini the other day...she was so excited as well!
And if there is an update I seriously hope we don't have the same shipping problems that marred the release of the original mini. I don't want to be waiting 6 months to see the first glimpse of the mini across the pond!

Ummm, you do mean 11 am EST is 9am CST right? You said it wrong.
The release should be bright and early 9am today PST. So 10am MST, 11am CST and 12pm EST. Too bad I will have to wait till Noon over here.

Bah, that means I'm looking at a 5pm announcement over in Blighty!!
Ah well, if the new iPods are definately out at that time, I can still call ahead and reserve one from the Apple Store for collection tomorrow - thats presuming they are doing exactly what they did for the PBs - having them in stock already.
Must say, all signs do point to the imminent release - low stock levels, a samsung player wth a 6GB capacity, a new verison of iTunes about to be released. Weirdly I find myself really keen over something I was never bothered about previously - a colour screen in the mini!

Apple store is odd... if you hit refresh it will go back up and running. The store is up for me now... but a few minutes ago ithad the sticky notice.

Yeah, the entire store is down! Just found that myself. Ooooh. This is soo exciting!
