FWIW, LoopRumors reports that Apple has been changing some of the iTunes video downloads to a widescreen format. Could mean nothing... could mean something

1/ The scribble that is being moved is identical to that of the original image.
2/ The image in the video is higher resolution than the original image. So much so we make out that it is an 8 on the label.
3/ The label is in an identical position to the original image.
4/ The crinkle marks are identical to those in the final image.
1/ That's because the scribble being moved is taken FROM the original image. It's not the same scribble actually being shown drawn. (Which is odd anyway--what does it prove, just that the guy can scribble? And are we to believe he really scribbled in the middle and then placed it in the corner? Most people would just scribble where they wanted the scribble.)
2/ It's not even the same label. He wanted a label that clearly showed an 8 (but, we see, no handwritten 7) because of the discussion about it.
3/ No, it isn't in the same position: his barcode extends just past the cyan bar into the black. The original one ends within the cyan bar. (When he DOES show it in the same position, that's when he's just using the original.)
4/ The crinkles are taken FROM the original image. That's why they're softer in the initial zoom--they're enlarged. And that's why it's a digital zoom instead of a real camera effect. And that's why in the next scene (attaching the connector) which IS a real camera scene does NOT have the same wrinkles! The wrinkles are there... then they're not... and then they're back. Hmmmm

Thanks for the side-by-side analysis. The two do have remarkable similarities that would be implausible to create from scratch (the wrinkles on the tyvek).
...Because, it seems that the desire to believe in a MR forum is stronger than the desire to be rational.
I see very few people here being CERTAIN it's real. I see a lot of people admitting we can't tell.
That is being rational
And wrinkles are the same--but only in CERTAIN scenes--because they were copied FROM the original.
The basic strategy of this fake video is:
1. Show parts of the original where you can.
2. Fake as close as you can (which is not very) the rest of the time.
3. Use "clever edits" to hide the jumps back and forth between 1. and 2. (which failed to fool us)
All that sneaky editing means they DID intend to make us think it was the original being made. It's NOT meant to just "show how it could be done." You don't need to write on tape to show how that could be done
It failed to fool us, but it does show (in part--but glossing over some steps) how it could have been done. That wasn't its intent, but it does at least do that.
And even though it didn't fool us, the video was still a good attempt
