You mean, he could just refuse, like you would. Or, maybe, he is a designer and he just wanted to do what he likes the most, "his job". It was actually really kind of him, being nice to an ugly person, like prince Charles.

As a Frenchman, I summon you, snail demons, to unleash your rage upon that royal hypocrite.

Convoluted excuses of the cowardly and greedy and vain.

We have lots of talent in the UK who refuse Royal honours and commissions. They’re the example to follow in these situations.

Wow, big angry words. Well, I guess you are the judge in here.

I have worked for horrible people, most of my life. I call it "having a job". But I loved what I was doing, creating something, in my eyes "special" and the employer didn't matter to me.
You might be lucky to have your own venture, or nice employer. Some will refuse, because of pride, not enough of money, some other moral, or other principal.

But some people just like what they are doing, should not be difficult to understand. Maybe ask him for his motive, before you french taunt him :)

Don't associate with Prince Charles and leverage the goodwill you have built up during your own "successful" career to endorse environmental causes. But again, the announcement juxtaposing with COP21 reeks of opportunism.
The problem there if course is that Jony doesn’t care about the environment and doesn’t have an organisation dedicated to the cause. Charles on the other hand has dedicated most of his life to the cause before most of the rest of the world even knew there was an issue.

Other inspirations included the sacred geometry of nature and works from William Morris, Josef Frank, Nick Knight, and Christopher Marley. "We have reinforced the resilience and fertility of nature by allowing these natural elements to gently take control of the image," Ive told Wallpaper. "This is a visually lush celebration of the power of nature, and far from being superficial decoration, these natural forms are what gives the design life."

He hasn't lost his ability to emit uncontrollable levels of utter wanky BS has he?

This is very pretty indeed (not being sarcastic its actually lovely) but have LoveFrom actually made anything yet?

So an award for sustainability that eventually ends up in land fill, something gone wrong here!

As opposed to designing something that people can actually use…the mentality is “Let’s create another elitist token so that those beneath us can fight for recognition!”
Specially when you read who’s awarded.
Love the project, but I’m sure I could think of better companies to award it to.

From designing meaningful products to designing gimmick award medals. What a fall.

Looks like a montage of designs found on the british one pounds coins. Guess Jonny’s been fiddling with his pocket change.

Prince Charles and his eco antiques. Let's save the world by you lot using eco bags, while I go to meetings in my jet. Same as the colossal g*t Gates, same sh*t, different ar*e

Honestly, where is the Superman, when you need him!

The thing is, we, collectively, have more power.

If we all (or a large majority) decide to do our bit and put some effort in with the simple acts of being more sustainable in our choices and actions, the effect can outweigh the more isolated actions take by a few.

From designing work class and cutting edge technology to....global warming awards.

Ok, sure.

Jony Ive's design firm LoveFrom has created a special award that's meant to be bestowed on companies that are leaders in creating sustainable markets, reports Wallpaper.

The "Terra Carta Seal" designed by LoveFrom was made in partnership with the Sustainable Markets Initiative headed by the UK's Prince Charles. The Terra Carta is a charter that provides a roadmap for businesses to build a sustainable future by harnessing the power of Nature.

Ive's Terra Carta Seal is meant to embody the Terra Carta values, which includes reuniting "people and planet, by giving fundamental rights and value to Nature." The design features oak leaves, acorns, ferns, magnolia flowers, and phlox, along with various birds, butterflies, and bees.

The Seal also has wording that uses a special LoveFrom Serif font that is not commercially available and was made exclusively for LoveFrom projects. Ive said that the typeface was designed for LoveFrom's "friends," but that it worked well for the Terra Carta. There are digital versions of the seal, along with a paper version.Other inspirations included the sacred geometry of nature and works from William Morris, Josef Frank, Nick Knight, and Christopher Marley. "We have reinforced the resilience and fertility of nature by allowing these natural elements to gently take control of the image," Ive told Wallpaper. "This is a visually lush celebration of the power of nature, and far from being superficial decoration, these natural forms are what gives the design life."

Ive said that he is designing at LoveFrom the way he designed at Apple.
L'Oreal, Siemens Energy, and AstraZeneca have been awarded the inaugural Terra Carta Seal for committing to accelerated actions to limit global warming to to 1.5°C by 2050. The Terra Carta Seal will be awarded to different companies on an annual basis.

Ive departed from Apple in 2019 to found LoveFrom alongside fellow designer Marc Newson. At the time, Apple said that Ive would continue to be involved in design at Apple and that it would be one of LoveFrom's primary clients. LoveFrom has also worked with Airbnb and Ferrari.

As someone who has owned a 200 year old company, receiving an award like this from lovefrom is truly inspiring. It’s like the ultimate customer service letter from a customer.
