The midnight green reminds me of my old Nokia 7110 phone (‘Matrix phone’). Was a great colour.
That $50 off is looking at US prices. Do you think iPhone prices in China line up 1:1 with prices in the US? Or that wages in China line up 1:1 with US wages?50 bucks off the 11 compared to XR makes it go from 1.5-1.7 (XR) to 1-1.3 (11) times the monthly salary? How does that add up.
Except the XR had vibrant colors - the 11's new colors look like silver with a single drop of mint or lavender color added to the mix. Very faint. I loved the colors people were showing around as artist concepts when the new colors were merely a rumor - as vibrant as the XR just changing the hue.Something different from either white or dark shades would be nice for a change. The lower-end models always have these cool vibrant colors. I would love to see that on the high-end model(s) as well.
I skipped the phone and the watch. That $2,000.00 I saved.
Or they buy it because they need a new phone, and they choose a color that appeals to them because they can. It might be a minor factor in pushing their decision past the tipping point. There probably aren't a lot of people saying, "I love my phone, it's perfect, but I must have that (barely) purple one."People buy iPhone 11 because of COLOR?

This is how a free-market works - the higher priced phones are subsidizing the lower price models - luckily for Apple they have the highest number of people that can afford to pay or (overpay - if that's how some would like see it)They did drop prices. The iPhone 11 dropped $50. The watch now starts at $199. If you want the latest and greatest you have to pay for it. Sales numbers don't mean anything to them, its all about revenue.
Or...people like green? If Apple made an iPhone in the dark purple the iPods used to be in I’d buy it in a second. I might be upgrading from my 6s this year, but if that purple was available I’d *definitely* be doing it.The sole reason people want "green" is because it's new and will set their iPhone apart from the pack. People will see the green iPhone and gasp "wow what's that!? Is that new?" They feel like they will be trendsetters.
Features aren't innovation. Apple innovates and many people here just ignore it. Unreal. This is why Apple doesn't need to innovate... throw in a few incremental improvements to the camera and add a new color... People will buy it and they cash in. Unreal
Exactly! And I bet there's a sizable number of people who would go for a "camo" iPhone. Ironically, most people will cover the phone up with a case anyway...I think that midnight green colour is ugly... Looks like the same drab green the army use on their stuff.
I think what apple do with the software is always innovation and what they have done hopefully with the camera could be groundbreaking...Features aren't innovation. Apple innovates and many people here just ignore it. Unreal.
You don't change the world every year, but Apple's done more to change it than most in technology.
Terrible video bokeh on the Note 10 isn't innovation.
They're not even selling out at all.
Green is to appease Asia markets since it's associated with jade. To the rest of the world the color options are boring to barfy.
You are one of several people who took this away from an article where it doesn’t actually say that.People buy iPhone 11 because of COLOR?
Welcome to 2019 everybody.

It might be paranoid, but nobody can tell until after Several months or so.
I am a Henry Ford follower but Kuo is almost flawless in these types of predictions.
These aren't even predictions, he probably knows the numbers being ordered to Chinese factories.
