Are you new here? Leaks/info on new Apple tech can easily leak 1.5-2 years in advance. This is not unusual.
yes, and it often doesn't even turn out accurate as even Apple changes it :)
[doublepost=1560784183][/doublepost]
Usually yes you would be right.... But Kuo has a pretty good track record and has shown to have some pretty solid sources that feed him accurate information well ahead of anyone else having it.
he is about 50:50 from what I've witnessed. There was a time few years back when he was completely off.
Recently, he improved his accuracy but this post is not really a leak but pure guessing. :)

Xs and 8 are effectively the same physical size

iPhone XS and iPhone 8 are effectively just about the exact same physical size, difference being 0.2" in height and 0.15" in width, that difference is imperceivable. However, you get a 5.8" screen vs. a 4.7" screen.
And honestly, what does that have to do with my post directly?
Thought I was talking about a full-screen SE??

5.4" might actually be a good size considering the full screen design. Just needs less of a notch.

hm, i'm pretty happy with the size of the xs, now that i went up from the 7. i don't really want it to get smaller... and the xs/plus size never appealed to me, especially if they are planning to make it bigger yet...

While it physically looks more similar, there is actually was a bigger percentage difference between the iPhone 6 and X in both weight (34.9% v 15.2% ) and volume (22.8% v 15.8%) than there was between the 5s and 6! It is mostly because it is much thicker, whereas the 6 was significantly thinner than the 5s.

I just hope they make the 5.4inch one a bit wider. The iphoneX or XS are quite thin (screen width) which makes it bad when viewed in landscape mode (other than movies ofcourse). That screen width is one big hold up for me not getting iphone X or XR which is less wider than iphone plus ones.

5G is not going to be the cause of mass rebuying of smartphones as the manufacturers hope.

I think you might be surprised... I won't be buying the 2019 iPhone, because it won't have 5G. I might buy a used XS Max next year - seems likely that I'll be getting essentially the same phone as the top end 2019, but at a vastly lower price.

The phones are approaching the size of the iPad Mini. :eek: Am I the only one starting to sour on enormous phones?

I have the iPhone 8 Plus and while it no longer seems so big when I hold it, I've noticed that it can barely fit in many of my pockets and I've had it fall out of numerous pockets, especially when squatting or bending over (or in some cases, just sitting in the car is enough to cause it to fall out).

I'm starting to miss the pocket-sized hand-sized smaller phones :(

I think they will keep the same 19.5:9 screen ratio across all the models. That would give a 4.9" x 2.25" screen compared to the current XS 5.27" x 2.43" screen.

Have to say 5G is meaningless to the consumer for the most part, but only doing it on the super duper expensive models when everyone else's regular phones will be 5G doesn't seem like a smart move.

Welcome to a starting price of:

5.4" = $1099 (128gb), $1249 (512gb), $1399 (1TB)
6.7" = $1299 (128gb), $1449 (512gb), $1599 (1TB)
6.1 = $899 (64gb), $999 (256gb)

That's the reality we live in...

I'm guessing the 5.4" model will be roughly the size of the past 4.7" model. That's a lot easier to use with one hand versus the current 5.8" model.

Hopefully this 5.4" phone will be more of a sane size, closer to the SE. The X is just too big for mobile use.

if there isn't an iPhone X or iPhone XS replacement with 5G and USB C that means you either have to pay more for a bigger screen and 5g or probably spend more, to get a smaller phone to get the upgraded parts.

Sounds like a reason to keep the iPhone X for yet another year.

iPhone X is the perfect size in the middle.

I’m all over that 6.7. My current XSMax has been a disappointment (WiFi, LTE, stuttering). If the 2019s weren’t using Intel modems again, I’d do an early upgrade for the first time. But I’ll have to wait.

Why yes, since 2019 seems to be a camera upgrade
Also people are keeping their past 3 years now - so yes, I would be interested and maybe beyond 2021 to take advantage of the 2nd gen 5G modems which will likely be less power hungry

I don’t think the storage will jump to 128GB min and 1TB max on the 11S. I expect the same as the 11. My guess is:

6.1 $749 64GB
5.4 $999 64GB
6.7 $1,099 64GB

The amount of "Available DRAM" in upcoming iPhones is far more important than which type of cellular modem they include !

iOS Ram Management isn't what it used to be back in 2016 & prior !

Things have gone south recently, BIG time !
