Nah, it'll be one event, but maybe the hardware release dates will be staggered. That's not uncommon from prior years either.
Yep. Remember when they launched iPhone X in 2017? They’ll announce but the “pre order” and “ship” dates will be off a few weeks. No biggie. If I remember correctly those of us that wanted the X had to actually wait until November

No 120hz displays, same old 12 megapixel camera the last 5 years when everyone else is going up to 108 megapixels and now we have to wait until NOVEMBER for Pro models? What a joke.

What does that have to do with anything?
People in the U.S of A will be too busy voting.

November seems so far away. Hope this is not true :(

How does Samsung manage to get their S20 out a month early and the Note 20 out right on time and Apple, the richest company on the planet have TWO MONTH delays? Ridiculous. Throw on top of that no 120hz displays and same old boring 12 megapixel camera. They have really gone downhill. Will probably just save my money and keep my 11 now...

Very good point. Samsung is killing it.

Looks like the Pixel 5 will be out on Oct 8th, they are right on time as well. So both Samsung and Google are ale to deliver their phones right on time during a pandemic. What is Apples excuse for their two month delay?
Apple just wants to build the hype up and they want people to wait for their products without giving any reasoning.

If the Pro iPhones are delayed into November, Apple should include a killer new feature to further justify the delay. In my house we have both an 11 an 11 Pro and the differences are minimal. Yes, the 11 doesn’t have an OLED display, but Apple is putting OLED on all models this year. 11 Pro having the telephoto lens isn’t groundbreaking, so I’m OK if my next iPhone didn’t have it. Aluminum vs steel and glossy vs frosted back are insignificant because most people put cases on their phones. So if the rumors are correct, that means the two tent pole additional features for the Pro IPhone this year are 120Hz display and LiDAR sensor? No thank you. I’ll be happy saving $400 and going for the standard 12 in October. That $400 will likely go towards buying some $AAPL after the 4-1 split!

I certainly hope Apple launches actual new iPad Pro models on September 7th. I’m itching to upgrade from my 2018 12.9” model, if they put an A14X in it, maybe include 5G. The screen could go on as is, given it’s so good already. Micro LED would be ok if they’re ready for that upgrade.

The other thing I’d like to see changed is the FaceID cameras getting moved to the long edge, since it’s so often used in landscape.
Why would they update the iPad Pro’s again? They only just upgraded them ok March.

I see why they would be announcing press released for both the watch and iPad. I mean they haven’t done a live launch because of corona for some time now and not sure when that day comes

It makes absolutely zero sense to update the iPad Pro and I'll wager any new iPad will be a standard version.
The current iPad Pro was released less than 6 months ago in March, and then subsequently delayed by about 4-6 weeks for deliveries (at least in Europe). I didn't receive my device until mid-May as a result of COVID so I don't think Apple would so naive to release a new version already.

The iPad and iPad Air on the other hand have been out over a year, so a refresh is likely.

Apple Watch with blook oxygen sensor is a huge deal in the current covid19 situation so if there is any such sensor in the new Apple Watch, releasing it via press release is non-sense. As regards an iPhone event in October, it is possible but what else will be released in this event? I mean, would they spent 1,5h speaking about the new iPhone and recaping OSX, Watch OS and iOS news we already received just a few months ago? I dont think so. I think there could be a ARM-based MacBook (Air/Pro) announced during October with shipping starting in November for the holiday season. Actually, Apple confirmed that the first ARM-based Macs would be released by the end of this year so an October event is their last chance to show us what they have under their sleeves. Hopefully, more than just a CPU (i.e. improved performance and battery life).
