If the 16” is Just screen size difference(no other changes)I think the 14” will make a lot of 16” guys convert Down.If the new 14” is going to start at $2k might as well opt for the 16” for $400 more.
oh that could be another diff.
base 14" = 512
base 16" = 1TB
It shouldn’t really be obvious given the performance you get from a 899$ m1 air. I think competition between that model a d the pro’s should offer a lot more of something. I would of guessed price would of been the same and less for the 16” givin the performance you get the m1 at such a low price for the air.I like how the leaker is being very bold with his statement.
This is obvious! Of course we are going to see prices to hike. I can’t believe we have to wait till November to get our hands on 14” / 16” when the expected release date was over the summer.
I’ll be honest, there’s something about this leak that reeks of Apple trying to expose a leaker. It just seems so specific but general at the same time, like it reveals nothing we didn't already know but the information has been presented in such a specific way. I can’t put my finger on what makes me think this but it just gives me this vibe.
Yup, I expect $1999 and $2499. Small price hike to pay for the redesign and new non-chip tech.I expect both will stay the same as their Intel configurations, so:
14" - $1799 to $1999
16" - $2399
Both with 16GB RAM and 512GB of SSD with a 10C/16G "M1X".
Hmm it got me thinking if they are sharing the same chip does that mean the RAM will be maxed to say 32GB for both laptops? and there won't be a 64GB![]()
The M1X should be able to handle 64 GB and more displays than the M1Hmm it got me thinking if they are sharing the same chip does that mean the RAM will be maxed to say 32GB for both laptops? and there won't be a 64GB![]()
My wallet, bank accounts, and I all had a conference over zoom and we decided to skip this one since we love our M1 MBA and Mini.
We would have had the conference over sharetime or whatever that's called but it's not ready yet.
To those who upgrade, enjoy!
Their chips are 3-4x better performance than Intel, 3-4x the battery life, AND the new laptop is 14" with a mini-LED display. Not to mention Apple doesn't regularly increases prices in accordance with inflation; considering it's been a long time since the Pro got a price hike it would actually make sense to do so!Wth Apple?? I’m done with this rip off company.. price hike for what? Using their own chips and removing the Touch Bar and still jacking up the price😡😡
There is a reason why YOUR credit card is IN Apple Wallet.Who would have thought they would raise the prices 🧐.
Tim the clown? Sure he does…Blah Blah Blah. But does this clown actually know when they will be released? That’s what I want to know!
My MacBook Air M1 is so fast already that I’m really happy with the speed. If the increase is significant I might go for a 14 to get more ports. Otherwise I’ll skip a year. I don’t mind a price increase for the fastest chips on the market.
Thinking the same I did buy the mbp 13” 16gb ram and 256GB ssd as I was thinking that I’ll update within a year anyway so I was thinking of buying 32gb ram and 1tb ssd of the next mbp 13/14”.This is gonna hurt in Europe, might keep my Air and just get the Air redesign then.
I do want the new 14” due to being able to use a 2nd display.. but I don’t know we’ll see how it goes.
I wonder if they’ll keep the current 13” Pro and Air then…
Or when he's on stage saying we "Think you'll like it"I am so annoyed with Tim Cook always keeping „last years model“ to justify price increases on updated versions. Steve Jobs didn’t do it. He wanted his users to actually experience to best they can offer and didn’t settle with „last years models“. However, from a business perspective it’s smart of course but jeeze, I don’t even want to think of the Euro prices.
