I’ve got two issues simultaneously actually, with two separate orders. The first order was from when I had my 12 Mini. They took three days to ship it out, it got stuck at USPS somewhere on its way to me for two full weeks (that part is not their fault), I reached out for help on a refund for the priority shipping I had paid for, and was told they couldn’t do anything about it being stuck (ignoring my shipping refund request). It was only after a second time of requesting the shipping refund that they gave it to me. In between the time of ordering and delivery, I got a 12 Pro Max. I requested a refund when I finally received it, sent it back, and now over a week after they have received it back, they have yet to issue the refund and only told me today that their refunds/exchanges department has been overwhelmed recently. Their returns policy says returns are processed in 3 business days. Still waiting after five business days.
A week ago I ordered the same case for my new 12 Pro Max, and received the order earlier today. But they sent me the case for a 12 Pro/12, and this again after having to wait three days for them to actually send it out, but at least USPS got it to me quickly this time. I have sent customer service a pretty pissed email after all that has happened, and they’ve yet to respond. I don’t have the patience to wait around for them to make this all right, so I’ve demanded a refund and will stick with my Baltic Blue leather case and Apple leather wallet.
I’ve currently got $150 invested in this company’s products, and all I’ve got is a “we will give you refund when we can get to it” response, and a case that I don’t own a phone for.
It’s a real shame, because the quality of the product is unbelievably good.
Definitely not a company I would want to do business with again. I have one of their cases and over a short period of time it’s almost like the raised area around the lenses went almost flat and now doesn’t protect them anymore.
Nostalgia and an impulsive personality. Newer hardware features that I don’t notice on a day to day basis don’t really sway me to much. Although, you are correct, I do like 5G. Lol, maybe I’ll just buy an se2 and have all 3? 😬
I guess I got lucky then my Baltic blue fits perfectly and I’ve never had a corner pop out in over 2 months.
I did read that some form of coconut oil does the trick. Only a small amount mind you.
Hey, how long have you had the apple black leather? I am wondering how the worn black edges will look on the “black” case over time
I have used Lexol wipes on my leather cases for a few years now, they work very well. Used to use the spray version on my car seats in 2010 as well.

Today is day 22 and it still looks like the day I pulled it out of the box.
This looks somewhat like an even patina. Is it or is that the lighting?

I’v be been switching off and on between my baltic blue and saddle brown, even though I’m mostly wearing the blue leather, but from time to time the saddle brown gets some usage, was not happy with seeing some of the aging of this years SB, but still had to give it some usage, but other than the sides changing faster the whole case is starting to darken as well, no artificial aging processes, but the whole phone including the case gets a quick wipe down with antibacterial wipes...

No i got it back in the beginning of January, so only about 2 month old, but as stated I’ve been wearing the baltic blue most often, i think that I’m just going to keep the SB on most of the time now until it either turned sh!ty looking or gets better along the way, i miss the old saddle brown’s from the older generations...
Do you have pics of the Baltic blue? I hear it turns to black but would you say it’s a darker blue instead???
I have a California poppy case with about 3 months of use. it seems to be darkening on the edges to a brown-ish leather. It looks slightly dirty but I’m starting to dig it. It kind of looks like an oily, orange leather - sort of a used up saddle brown. I wish it faded though, A faded yellow-orange would be a nice case.

My blue one isn’t really going that dark on the edges yet, but the whole case is starting to darken ever so slightly, that one too was bought in early January so it’s only about 2 months old, but it has been trying more wear time, and also gets a daily wipe down with antibacterial wipes...
Well guys, I’m giving up on leather for the 12 series for now. The square edges just make the leather age in a manner that just isn’t attractive to me. I purchased the over priced apple SB leather expecting the quality I was accustomed to from the 8 and X series and was hugely disappointed. I took a risk and removed the coating which at first I really enjoyed but have since grown to dislike. The case is darkening at too fast a pace and combined with the little tiny specks of coating that didn’t come off as it sat lower in the grain, it’s just becoming a hot mess. It looks kind of ok indoors but in sunlight looks like garbage. It’s only 2 months old and has darken so much over the past two weeks I’m pretty sure it will be black by the end of the month. I’m super disappointed as I love leather but I’m not about to drop money on another case from bullstrap, nomad, sena, etc plus pay their overpriced slow shipping to Canada. So for now I’ll go back to a basic case from Spigen until I find a decent priced quality leather case and start the journey again. Hopefully I’ll come back here one day and be inspired by someone’s case.
Agreed. You can get an Apple black leather case. This is why I bailed out on the Baltic blue and went with the clear case from Apple.

Give the DECODED MagSafe leather case a shot at first I wasn’t too happy to see how dark it was right out of the box, but now that edges have started to patina it some how gives the original color a great contrast. I can now see why they chose a much darker shade for their case. This case looks beautifully in the sun and in lower lighting you can still see a beautiful luster of patina. Not to mention friends and family and even strangers have given me endless compliments.
I had a Decoded case on my XR. It was a good case. I'm usually a fan of smoother grains and i found the XR case was quite grainy but at this point I'd gladly go back to that case. I'll wait a bit to see if these drop in price any. I can't keep dropping cash on leather cases and their crazy high shipping costs. I actually got my XR case in a store near where i live. They stocked them because there was no Apple leather for that phone and I keep hoping they bring in the 12 cases too. Funny story, i actually got that case for $9 due a pricing error at the store. It was the best day!. ha ha
I don’t get this…where does the “black” come from? If the coating is deep, then why does non-black Apple leather case get black so easily?!
My Baltic blue case edge turned black in 1.5 days from just me holding it while gaming.
From pic above, clearly the leather itself is NOT as thin as people say it is. Maybe the sweat/cleaner interacts with the leather can makes it black???
