Is it really possible to get an apple leather case that doesn’t have loose corners this year? I just started noticing my midnight leather case corners popping off more again.
My black leather Apple case for my 12 Pro Max fits great. I have a navy blue Apple silicon case where the lower-left corner is loose.

I just received my Navy Decoded leather case as well. Noticed the volume buttons are uneven on mine and on the lock button side, the leather is already creased up from pressing it a couple of times. Are any of these happening on yours?
What do you mean by uneven? Mine look aligned. There is one slight mark on my power button side.

Wow, I thought this was photoshopped at first glance. The tiny camera cutout looks so strange and the higher Apple logo just looks off nowadays.

And I used to dislike the lens protrusion on the 6 and 6s. Sitting with a 13 mini now with about 4 times the protrusion on those devices. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Attached some pictures to show uneven volume buttons and creased power button. I can see the leather moving when I press any of the side buttons.

Actually I too saw a few marks when I opened the box which I could live with since it’s leather.

However the buttons bother me a little and the creases worries me about the long term wear and durability around the buttons.

I don't really see anything at all wrong with your power button but the volume buttons are like that on both of mine with no phone but when you put the phone in they are even.
Also, 3-4 months of use on the left and brand new on the right.

I came from the Apple leather case and it did not have the crease around the buttons so it stuck out to me.

As for my volume buttons, you can see my phone is in and it is still uneven.

Still loving my Golden Brown and Midnight Apple leather cases for my 13 PM. The fit and feel are my favorite. No wear showing either. The Neatsfoot oil keeps them clean and supple.

Hello everyone!

I have been using a California Poppy on my iPhone 12 for six months now. It’s darker on the edges and looks kinda bad.

How would you guys patina this specific case? I wouldn’t mind it being darker in general, closer to brown actually.

Thank you for your help

My Bullstrap Sienna case after about four months on and off use. For me it's still the best iPhone leather case I've owned so far. The leather is still soft to the touch and not sticky at all. It starts to darken at the corners and develops an almost coffee-brown color that I really love :D All images taken with an iPhone 8, they are a bit more saturated than in real life. Let's see how this journey continues...

Do you know close is the sienna to the Apple saddle brown apple wallets/cases? I'm debating between the sienna and black case for my 13PM and I'm leaning towards the black only because I know it'll match last year's black wallet.

I think if you go for black you'll probably have the better fit between Bullstrap case and Apple Wallet. I've had the black Bullstrap case in the past and it was definitely darker than the one from Apple - and the wallet has a more natural leather than the case itself, which is supposed to darken over time, too.

Wow you might have sold me. I have always had the Apple leather cases but since the 12 the quality seems to have gone down hill. I have looked at Bullstrap but never pulled the trigger. How do the buttons feel on these?

Excellent, in my opinion. They are not metal, but have a sturdy and clicky feel. And I much prefer them over the ones from Apple since they are black – I think they will blend in nicely as the leather ages and becomes more dark as well...

Just got it. Here are some pics on my graphite 13 pro. The texture and feel of the leather easily beats the Midnight apple leather case I tried. Smells really good too!

I like that they made the camera bump out of metal. And my phone sits pretty deep in the case so I doubt it will pop out of the corners any time soon. Buttons rival apples. Very impressed.

nice! would you mind also sharing a picture of the front? i.e. to see how the case fits the edges of the phone? thanks :)

How’s the bottom on your pinky finger? The open bottom is the only reason I’m hesitating to get the Bullstrap case, mostly due to concerns about comfort and exposure to scratches.

This is the ONLY reason I haven't purchased one for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I had one for the 12...gorgeous and way better quality leather than Apple, but the open bottom just doesn't work for me. If they ever wise up and offer a closed bottom, I will be the first in line. Excellent cases.

I wanted to share an update after working on my golden brown case. I sanded off some of the finish a couple weeks ago and treated with some leather balm.

For me personally it's not an issue. I have fairly big hands, so there's not too much pressure on my pinky finger. I usually have around 5-6 hrs screen on-time per day, so I think I would notice if it would be a problem...AND I have to 12 Pro Max, so if you have the smaller Pro I think it shouldn't be an issue at all :) Also, I'm among the people who actually like seeing the bottom lip of their phone – I think the silver stainless steel goes so well with the brown leather. So far I only have some micro scratches, nothing one couldn't wipe off with some polish.

That’s good to know. I’ve been carrying an iPhone X for more than 4 years with an Apple leather case that has an open bottom. I find it comfortable to hold and there’s nothing more than micro scratches on the stainless steel. 13 Pro is coming next week so I’ll see how the square frame feels before deciding.

Bullstrap's leather is great but for my pro-max my issue was that the camera lenses were higher than the case. Not just 1 but 4 different cases had this issue.

Yep, since Blackbrook doesn't make cases like they used to, I just put in an order for the Bullstrap - looks like back ordered till 11/1. Very nice.

This was the case for me with my 12PM. It didn't bother me cuz I always put my phone down face first (on something else). But that is a good thing to point out. As the case wears, especially, the camera lens will be exposed.

One of my favorite things about leather cases is that during the winter, my hands sometimes are dry from the cold and the leather gives me full grip of the phone.
