I’m curious to know how thin the leather is on the nomad leather case.. I own Horween leather wallet and boots… but the way it scratches so easily on the nomad… even comparing it to other leather cases is quite interesting.. Is it because it’s sanded down split grain leather?

Just received the sequoia green case for my 13 mini. What a beautiful colour. I’m loving the sequoia green and saddle brown combo ?.
But the dark cherry (6 weeks old) is still my favourite.

Apple saddle brown after 1 month, just did few alcohol wipes and let it dry, patina is from hand oil, nothing else applied. some spots are brighter, since my hand does not touch all parts, also using apple wallet almost 24/7. Thoughts ?

Question for you guys if you dont mind.

Do you worry about the cases not having much lip to protect the screen?

I received a Dark Cherry case from my wife but with a screen protector there just the most minimal coverage and in some areas it seems level with the protector.

I purchased a Golden Brown also and it has the same issue. Slightly lower in some areas to where its practically level with the screen protector.

I love the case but worry a little about the durability protecting the screen. I have always used the leather cases but this seems to be a lower lip than in the past.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It’s paper thin, I have older cases for the iPhone X that don’t use and lifted up the leather to see. Not thick at all.

I have the golden brown case and even with a screen protector the screen doesn’t touch the table.

Nope, I don’t worry at all—the screen protector is there to take all the damage.

I was going caseless for a long while; the other week I missed my pocket and threw my phone pretty hard onto the concrete driveway—screen protector shattered but no damage to the screen. I can’t imagine that it would’ve been worse WITH a case, right?

Don’t worry, be happy!

With my 12 Pro Max I had an unlucky drop that caught the middle screen edge that damaged the protector. No way of knowing if the screen would have been damaged without a protector but I'm glad it was there just in case.

I changed to rugged cases afterwards as I worried it may happen again. Since the 13 Pro Max launched I've amassed a number of cases trying to find one I like the look and feel of and with MagSafe but just couldn't settle on one. So guess what?...... Yeah, back to Apple leather. Feels great in the hand and the Dark Cherry looks gorgeous in my opinion, especially with matching wallet and watch strap. ?
Just wish Apple would do the AirTag fob in Dark Cherry too.

Has anyone successfully achieved any real level of patina with their Apple brand magsafe wallet? Mine still looks brand new and in all my internet searching I can't find much about the wallet developing a patina.

Nomad Modern Leather case in Natural after about two and a half weeks of usage. Looks a bit dirty in some spots, hoping it will develop more of a brown patina. Got an Andar Aspen in Camel Tan today, so I will see which I like better after a few weeks.

It will. I had one for my 12 and it darkened nicely. It did take about a month though.

Hi would like to ask what’s the better way to peel off the coating of apple leather case? Using wet wipes or using a 400grit sandpaper?
