I had a journey case for my 12PM and I wasn’t a fan. It’s German heinen leather which is waterproof. Didn’t have a strong leather smell at all and has an open bottom. The case fit well but I don’t like the open bottom because it digs into my pinky.
What are you using now? I have the midnight black on my 13 pro but just want to see others opinions. So far I’m liking this one a lot

I’m using back my Apple leather case from nomad. Although still doubting whether it can protect my iPhone from drops… It still feels like leather.. grippy textured feel, compared to Nomad’s slippery and heavier feel.. maybe in the future, i might consider getting the Andar or the bs leather case

I bounce between too many lol. I was using a nomad for the last month. I just bought a deep violet apple leather. I have a saddle brown and black too and a sienna bullstrap MagSafe

This years has closed bottom but no buttons. Looks like nomads with pvc sides.

I’ve the golden brown leather case and I’m kind of stuck to it because of the awesome grip it has while using the apple leather case. It is having an awesome patina, so I’m enjoying it a lot.

Looks like nomad has new shade of brown I just wish they would ditch those silicon boarders

That’s Rustic Brown and is a color they’ve always had. I love the grayish black silicone; helps to break up the monotony and looks classy as hell.

English tan.

English tan.

I stand corrected but I do have to say that this is exactly how my rustic brown looks.

Anyone have pictures of the sequoia green apple leather case? Just ordered my self one since they have them on sale for $44.99 at Best Buy and Amazon. Really wondering how that one will patina. Currently have a silicone abyss blue but have never owned a leather case. Looking forward to it!

Bought a few weeks after launch, but I went caseless for an number of months. Conditioned using my hands’ natural oils.

Am super dissatisfied with the Apple quality this year; the color is completely acceptable but also completely uninspiring. I’ve got a Camel Andar on the way which I’m super stoked for—would be willing to part with this green one if anybody is in love with the patina.

Green in any case will do that lol

Had an attempt of removing the coating on the Native Union case a few days back as it seems to be the same as the apple leather. Only used a damp washing up sponge(the green and yellow ones) and applied neutral shoe cream afterwards. Started gentle with the yellow side of the sponge but it wasn’t doing anything so changed to the rougher green side, for about 30 minutes. Have to say it feels rougher now, hopefully will smooth out as I use it. Only on the third day but it’s already showing some patina.

Anyone wants to share a photo of their aging midnight apple leather case?

Update on the Saddleback for anyone interested. It’s already starting to darken up with just a few days of usage. The buttons have softened up a little using Saddleback’s recommended folding and pinching break in method for those areas. I also applied Chamberlain’s leather milk to the buttons and let it sit overnight. Since using it, the case has molded itself to the phone even more; I was worried the case would fit to loose and end up popping off. It doesn’t. It fits tightly on all corners of the phone. For reference, it’s about as thick as having an otterbox defender case.

Photos taken with my iPad 8.

Doesn’t such a thick case ruin the small phone experience?

Thank you! Went ahead and order a golden brown as well. Going to just let the green one be natural and do the sanding down method with the golden brown.
