Pretty disappointed in Bullstraps quality. I set my phone down on my kitchen counter yesterday which must’ve had a little water on it. Noticed it immediately and dried it right away. Now I’m left with these spots. In 5+ years of using Apple Leather cases, this has never happened.
Everyone wants patina and the worn look until they get the worn look lol. Just charge it to the game

See if you can get a replacement through their warranty

You can clean that easily with the right products. This happens with all kinds of leather, just that some are more resistant due to different reasons such as method of colouring, method of tanning, finishing, structure of leather.

That is a bummer. Really stinks Apple does not have leather cases. There seems like nothing in the market place that can replace them.

Nothing to do with Bullstrap though, water stains is an issue for almost every case manufacturer these days. It's not the production causing the issue, it is the leather and how leather works.

Installed my dbrand skin on Friday and been using it all weekend. The leather is not great, it feels more like suede and it scratches really easily. I’m guessing it’s just unfinished leather because it soaks up leather conditioner the second you put it on and gets really dark until it dries. The scratches go away when you put conditioner on. I am able to fit my Keyway on over it without any damage so far, it just slightly reduces the lip in the front. MagSafe accessories still work but my wallet seems to wiggle a little more than when it’s attached to a leather case. I
do love using the phone without a case and having the extra grip but the skin doesn’t feel nearly as good as my leather cases. I’m hoping the feel gets better with usage or maybe I should keep dumping leather conditioner on it until it’s completely saturated.
Good to know. I was considering getting the dark brown leather skin for my grip case. I am debating going back to my ink leather case and RL. 😩. I need to stop wasting money on cases.

I so much prefer the TPU edges. I’ve dropped both on the floor and the full leather ones get destroyed around the edges.
I was involved in a car accident last week and my iPhone was in its Nomad case. I had it plugged into the CarPlay and just sitting on the center console. It went flying somewhere in the car. The police found it and handed it to me, not a scratch on the phone.

Do you mind pointing me in the direction of which products? I don’t want to risk making it any worse.

This isn’t a worn look. It looks like ass and the fact it can’t hold up to a tiny bit of water for being as expensive as it is sucks. Again, I’m not new to this. It’s just my first non Apple leather case and it’s disappointing that I have to now be extra careful.

We were talking about using leather balm a couple pages back, it makes the case water resistant. Before, my case would absorb the water instantly if it got splashed. Now after just one light coat of leather balm, water will bead up for several seconds and roll off. More than enough time for you to wipe it off.

I would recommend it for these third party cases. Doesn't change the look of the case, at least not with a very light coat.

That’s really bad. I had a similar situation with my Ryan London and it dried without any spots. It’s like it never happened

About the water stains, meh it’s part of the process to me. On my older BS cases and RL cases whenever the leather welts from water, it usually goes away and just replaced with my hand oils.

They really didn't try not to look like Nomad
lol, you are very correct. Originally I purchased Nomads modern leather band, but I found the the watch buckle irritated my wrist, because it kept rubbing against my skin. However this Kordiz modern leather band has been wonderful. The buckle is not angled like Nomad so it doesn’t irritate my skin. I love this band.

Your post got me intrigued so I looked at the website. Really like the titanium band for my Apple Watch Ultra. So thanks!!
