I can attest to that. I have a Ryan London that’s really good. Andar, on the other hand, sent me two cases that didn’t fit my phone and the third one I used for about a week and the camera ring was all dinged up.

Bullstrap and RL are far and away the best leather I’ve tried. Gotta say those Keyway cases look nice though.

Interesting, didn’t know Andar had such poor QC. The one I had was great in that regard, but that doesn’t sound good from your experience. I trust you because you like the Apple leather cases .

I see a lot of QC here from BS, and I am not impressed with mine, so I think since Apple dropped the leather cases, these leather cases makers have been slammed with new orders they can barely keep up with. I think it’s costing them QC.

As much as I'd like a Clay Decoded (still OOS,) or a Bare Skin / Keyway I ordered this last night from Amazon:

Belemay Leather Case

Only reason I did... had some available Amazon VISA rewards cash. So in the end it only cost me ~$3. We shall see, it should be here today. But, I really like the look of the Clay Decoded. I'll wait that one out for sure.

Edit: I know Bare Skin is on this forum. Anyway you can offer a "clay" or lighter gray variation leather option to your lineup? If so, I'm in! As I'm sure many others will be as well... 😁

I'm probably in the minority of those who actually own the case, but I really like my YMW crazy horse. One complaint is that the fit almost too snug, but the materials on inspire confidence that no damage will occur when removing the case.

Really hard to beat for the price imo.

It was early in the year for my 13 Pro so coulda been resolved in later iterations. The camera ring is still a problem from what I’ve read.

Yeah the camera ring still seems to be an issue. I am not sure how they could fix this. A painted metal, how could it not scrap off over time? They need to stop using metal.

For some people the wear on the camera ring just adds to the overall look. A worn and weather leather patina along with worn and weathered metal.... for some it just works. But that's probably a very select group. I saw a Keyway on their site that a customer put up as part of his review and it showed a lot of wear on the ring and "X" along with well patina-ed leather and I didn't hate it which surprised me. I'm normally pretty anal about keeping the camera ring pristine.

Bullstrap "Ocean" case for 15 Pro Max arrived. Pretty impressed with the turnaround time; ordered on 11/4, delivered today. First impressions:
  • Smells like leather; I would describe it as "nice belt from Nordstrom".
  • Color is a lot greener than I was anticipating, especially compared to the Pacific Blue FineWoven. Would have preferred a bluer blue but it's not bad. Just happy someone somewhere offers a color in anything except Shade Of Brown.
  • Not appreciably thicker than the FineWoven, which I appreciate.
  • I know it's divisive, but I love the open bottom; swipe up gestures are much nicer feeling and natural, and it's great being able to see more/any of the titanium frame. I rocked an open bottom Apple leather case on my 11 Pro Max for 4 years and never experienced any frame damage because of it.
  • The camera hump is less weird looking in person.
  • Buttons are reasonably clicky, though less so than the FineWoven.
I think I probably will keep it. $85 is a lot for a case, but aside from an even costlier Vaja, the options for leather + open bottom + non-brown color are pretty much nonexistent.

Earlier mentioned Belemay leather case from Amazon in the house. Hot mess. NO front screen protection lip (at least not with my glass screen protector on,) power button very stiff (volume up/down & action button seem okay) and camera protection ring is not nearly enough to help. It does look & smell nice though! 🤣

I'm going to order either a Bare Skin or Keyway. Screw it.

Edit: I took it out in the sun to give a looksy, it's really not that nice. Actually, it's got quite a bit of "funk" to it on the backside. Avoid this one.. period.

Edit II: Keyway Whiskey ordered and shipped as of today 11/10/23! Googled for a coupon code, found "save20" and it worked! Excited to see how nice this is. Everything I see on the website looks fantastic.

I was coming to ask if anyone received shipping info yet. When did you order yours? I ordered Oct 30 and haven’t heard anything yet.

I ordered the 27th right after they became available and mine still hasn’t shipped.

The first batch of cases were sold mostly to customers based in Singapore (where we're based). Because of timezone difference, the launch newsletter was delivered to Singapore subscribers couple of hours in advance, and they pretty much accounted for 90% of our initial shipment. The second batch is not far behind, and are already on the way to our central warehouse where they'll be packed and shipped to international customers.

That's all we currently have. I also ordered on the 27th iirc.

I ordered it 10/27 and had to reach out to receive the international tracking #. It currently shows being processed in hong kong. I assume everyone will receive their tracking once it arrives in the U.S

It looks surprisingly shabby around the buttons I must say.

Yes they have all been sent from Singapore to our shipping forwarder in Hong Kong already. Most orders have already been processed by the forwarder, and should be on their way as we speak. Was the 2nd batch able to cover all orders to date or will some need to wait for a 3rd batch?
