Apple claimed it was a "big event", with a press conference and all, and it wasn't.
Sucks to live in Canada. All we get in terms of TV shows up here is South Park and The Daily Show. While they're not horrible shows, we get none of the big network shows. Damn
I was excited when he announced HD TV shows, but remembered we won't be getting any of them. Other than that, I'll be picking up a new Nano for the gym. Glad I have my 160GB Classic already. And can't wait for iPhone 2.1, how sad is that! Other than that, lame event.

Agreed, they set themselves up for the whining. It was like, "Screw it, Kevin Rose and a bunch of third party manufacturers blew our thunder. Let's get it over with."

I guess it's hard to astound people with your new products when your old products that you are replacing are actually still excellent.
iPod nano - new colours are nice. Price drop is good, but not great. Still a solid product overall that will make all other small flash music players look blocky and out of date.
iPod touch - not quite as cheap as people hoped, but still a reasonable price. Nike integration is neat, if not astounding. No GPS? Bummer, or is that part of Nike+iPod? See, it's not useful for everyone. The device does look nicer with its curved surfaces. Battery life is great. Wait until January for the 64GB touch.
iTunes 8 - meh. Genius is nice for playlists within your own library however, and it's nice that it's on the iPods too. No details on whether or not iTunes has been improved bloat-wise, Cocoa-ised, etc however.

Waste of Time
What a flop! I, like everyone else, was so excited for this event. I spent the last hour watching updates on Gizmodo and Engadget, and for what? To hear exactly what I already knew was going to happen? This is definitely the most disappointed I have ever been as an Apple supporter. For someone with over 32 gb of music and without AT&T (can't get an iPhone), this event means absolutely nothing to me. The Zune seems awfully tempting right now.

I'm searching Seagate's site and they don't mention a 1.8" form factor HDD with a 250GB capacity.

If we didn't know anything - as opposed to knowing everything - ahead of time, maybe it would have had a bit more impact?
Stuff like gets sold to industry, not consumers. It may not be on their web site.

Keep waiting one day new ones will come out. To wait a year on something is, well, ...... Then 6 months after you buy yours another one will come out. Technology is funny that way.

still in charge/breathing . . . but i totally agree. way underwhelmed. especially since everything he mentioned had been leaked. gone are the days of "wait, one more thing . . . "
