I wouldn't do this, and I don't really understand it. But billions of people the world over spend time and money in ways I think are wasteful or pointless. So this is one more example. Why are so many of you so upset about it?

America has turned into a nation full of panzies.

Throwing eggs at this "man" would bring on a federal investigation, followed by hate crimes charges, and 10 years in prison. Though I do like the way the Brits think.

From my way of thinking, the real pansies would be the ones throwing eggs. The guy's annoying but harmless. Why should anyone be that bothered by what he's doing?

Y would you do this?

Not sure fanboy is a protected class. It would be simple assult to thow eggs at someone....

Wow, seriously? I wish I had that kind of time off. Of course, I'd be spending it with my family and having fun ... but whatever floats your boat.

I agree. Wow. Good for him to have that much free time. Maybe he can score on for me.

All for an iPad 1.20 as well...(even calling it 1.5 is generous).

Wake me up when the real iPad 2 (iPad 3) is out.

Why would you ever think of doing such a childish thing? Sure, the guy's a bit of a twit, but he's doing what makes him happy and not hurting anyone in the process. More power to him.

Strange to think Texans might be more mature and considerate than Brits. Certainly goes against the stereotypes.

No, apparently not.

to be honnest it is only the dirty chavs that would do such a thing as throw stuff at him, the rest would just ignore him or give him dirty looks, (just like we are doing on this thread nothing more than words)

it actually makes me sad that even people from the UK will stereotype the whole of the UK to the despicable idiots who would go out of their way to hurt anyone.

What it's like to own an apple product.

Granted, this is most technology these days, and I love me some Apple stuff, but camping out 4 nights in advance... for a little speed bump and a couple of crappy cameras. C'mon.

Check out the Rockaway, NJ Apple store if you want to see embarrassment. It's about the size of your average kitchen and dining room.

I don't think it's THAT bad. It doesn't help that it's constantly packed so it seems smaller than it is. Then again, since that Apple Store is 5 minutes from me, it's the one I normally go to.

Will you be hibernating until then? Seems like you may have more free time on your hands than this guy.

Guy must not have much going on in his life.
Well, if you check his webpage, he says "Welcome to the New Official Site of Apple Fanatic and new rising Internet Celebrity, Justin Wagoner!"

He wants to be famous — somehow — any way he can. Perhaps he just likes the attention. Whatever. He loves Apple, likes people, he has some free time... whatever makes you happy that doesn't hurt anyone is fine by me.

We don't all have to float down the river together — swimming upstream is ok.

Once you read this quote from his website you know that he's deserving of all the scorn and ridicule that folks here are heaping on him: "Justin Wagoner is a Apple Fanatic and new rising Internet Celebrity" (BTW--I like the use of "a" instead of "an")

An internet celebrity? His only known skill is setting a tent outside an Apple Store and waiting 4 days to buy a marginally updated tablet. I think there are monkey's and earthworms who can manage that trick too.

He should be ashamed of himself. I checked his website to see if he was gaining attention to promote anything worthwhile (an app or something).
Nope.
He's just standing around waiting for future garbage. The iPad is cool, but it's still just a gadget.

I'm not sure which is stranger: people who seem to be almost angry about him doing this, people who take the time to read this thread and post that they don't care that he's doing it, or those who think the story shouldn't even be on Macrumors..

I guess if 1,000 people line up for a new iPhone it's great hype. If one guy lines up for a new iPad, he's an easy target.
