Greetings Fans Once Again!

Hello everyone! It's nice to see MacRumors posted a article about another one my famous camp outs. I'm currently on my Spring Break this week so thats the reason why I'm here early. I would expect more arriving here in the next few days.

I arrived during the early Sunday morning around 9:00am to be set up camp, and last night was my first night here. It's pretty much the same setup as last year's iPhone 4 Launch.

When the iPad 2 arrives on Friday, it will be my first iPad to own. My rule of thumb is when it comes to tech devices, I usually don't buy the first generation because I like to wait and find out how popular they are, add more features and work out all the bugs.

As for when nature calls, and showering and other things. I have a friend who lives just 2 blocks away from the store. The store managers and employees keep a eye on my belongings during the times I step away for any reason.

During the nights after school hours, I also have security from the Dallas Police who watch out for me and also the store.

Due the the larger publicity I get, I can not name who or what I do for a living, but I will say my experience is in non-profit organizations. So yes, I have worked before. Again I'm on my spring break right now and this is what I decided to do with it since the iPad Launch fell within the same time frame.

If anyone else reading this lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, feel free to drop by anytime with the next few days to visit me and we can have a good time.

See you soon!
Justin Wagoner

All for an iPad 1.20 as well...(even calling it 1.5 is generous).

Wake me up when the real iPad 2 (iPad 3) is out.

Lets see, its a new design (thinner and lighter), has two new cameras, more memory, dual-core processor, etc. I am pretty sure its a 2.0 update. Also, everyone out there dreaming Apple is going to release another one is fall, may want to wake up soon because it's not going to happend...

seriously MacRumors... this is front page news now?

Here are some webshots for those who won't bother...

IMO, this should be on Page2 - or Page3 if there was one for random stories.

cheers!

PS. good luck and enjoy your iPad.

You.. Have.. Got.. To.. Be.. KIDDING ME!

Does he work? Will he shower? I can't imagine waiting outside of a store for 4-5 days without proper hygiene (aside from the crazy factor). I feel for the Apple employee(s) that face this kind of crazy…

Just saw some pics of him, wow. Who's gonna do his eyebrows and hair??? lol

Some people really get worked up over nothing. Hes free to do whatever he wants! He doesnt work because he has a seizure disorder which probably also affects his social life very heavily.

Once you read this quote from his website you know that he's deserving of all the scorn and ridicule that folks here are heaping on him: "Justin Wagoner is a Apple Fanatic and new rising Internet Celebrity" (BTW--I like the use of "a" instead of "an")

An internet celebrity? His only known skill is setting a tent outside an Apple Store and waiting 4 days to buy a marginally updated tablet. I think there are monkey's and earthworms who can manage that trick too.

You know, if Paris Hilton can be famous for doing nothing more than being born rich then I say celebrity is fair game for anyone else too.

I wouldn't ever dream of doing what this guy is doing but he's clearly happy doing it. What's with all the hostility directed at him, anyway? I guess more of us need to focus on finding whatever makes us happy in life. Maybe then the jealousy wouldn't be so quick to bubble to the surface, huh?

Look at me! Look at me! Hey everyone -- look over here! Here! Look over here! Hi! Look at me! Hey -- you with the camera! Look at me! Take a picture! Let people know to LOOK AT ME!

Hey -- look over here at me! Hello? Look over here! Hi hi hi hi! Look at me!

Yoo-hoo, look over here! Look at ME!! Lookit the guy camping out! Look at me!

I very much want a new iPad 2 as well but I would refuse to sit camped outside a store for that long. the earliest I have ever showed up for a product was an hour and that was for the iPhone 3G.

I work for a living and there is no possible way I could even do that even if I wanted to. With Apple expecting to ship as many iPads in Q2 into the 10 millions, if this is true I am sure there will be plenty of iPads to go around.

I wouldn't do this, and I don't really understand it. But billions of people the world over spend time and money in ways I think are wasteful or pointless. So this is one more example. Why are so many of you so upset about it?

I'm not sure which is stranger: people who seem to be almost angry about him doing this, people who take the time to read this thread and post that they don't care that he's doing it, or those who think the story shouldn't even be on Macrumors..

I guess if 1,000 people line up for a new iPhone it's great hype. If one guy lines up for a new iPad, he's an easy target.

I'm guessing you think I fall into the second category, but I don't. I didn't say I didn't care - I think it's kind of interesting that someone would do this, actually (from a psychological perspective). I just don't get why this seems to engender so much anger from some people.

Hate to be stereotypical, but that pic of him is.

Glasses? check
Lame hairdo with receding hairline? check
White iPod headphones? check
Dark shirt to show off the white headphones? check
Blank stare at a mac product? check
Pale skin like he never goes outside? check
White headphones to signify he's trendy? check
White headphones as an accessory? check
White headphones to be disconnected from his surroundings? check
White headphones that say, "don't talk to me, I'm too important"? check

Dude probably has an iPhone, but his headphones are connected to his iPod. Heaven forbid he goes anywhere without white headphones so he can be disconnected from the world around him. He is probably wearing black jeans that are most likely too tight, and Vans on his feet.

I can almost guarantee if someone handed him black headphones, he'd refuse to use them... even if they were 'magical and innovative'.

The more I type about this, the more I want to vomit.

This guy is my role model!!!! Once I get out of school, I will pitch my tent 3 weeks in head of time for new apple product launches,

No I am not joking or being sarcastic.

Hi, Justin. I've got to know... were you wearing make-up in that photo on your website? If so, did you put it on yourself or did someone help you?

Disability...

I remember this guy from last year and it kind of ticked me off then too.

Given that this guy can afford to chill in his tent for an entire work week, there is no evidence that his self-described situation from last year has changed, i.e, seizure disorder that has him on disability.

So, why is this anyone's business but his. Well, because we are all paying for his disability check, especially those in Texas who get to pay both the fed and state parts.

Now, before folks all pile on me. I have a son with a seizure disorder and know a fair bit about them. There are good meds for them, but they aren't 100%, to be sure. That said, if you can hang in a tent 24/7 without medical attention standing by then you probably aren't concerned about seizing at 4am when no one will be around to help. If you aren't that worried about it, then you certainly can get a job. If you choose not to get a job, I don't think societally we should be supporting the purchase of luxury items like iPhones and iPads with tax money.

The fact that this guy sees no problem with it to the point where he even sets up a web page to promote it, is even worse.

Before I start getting flamed...just remember...this week the jackasses in Washington are going to be cutting all sorts of things "cause we have to." Things like gas subsidies for the poor in cold climates and pell grants. We may have to do those kinds of things...but I think we should be taking iPhones and iPads away for iJustins first.

maybe that's just me...

p.s. the folks in Washington are not jackasses for cutting spending...they are jackasses for being incompetent.
