I'm back....too gutted after the last game to even look at the thread :-( dam I mean any result was going to be good from when we were leading and chelsea wern't. once chelsea went behind it made no difference as we were winning, made no difference that city drew level as a draw was still good enough...didn't make a difference if chelsea equalised when we were winning cause we would have still been above them then bang bloody anelka put us on the same standing of chelsea ofter 2.5 fergie minutes. Really gutted....we had a great chance tyo d it...have we blown it? Well chelsea are our bogey team, its at stanford bridge and they dont have to win so maybe...its gonna be difficult but its there to win. I'm usually wrong so i predict a 3-0 hammering by chelsea just so i can be wrong again and we win...well thats the theory.... come on you blues....;-)

This is going to be good, watch for me, I'll be the one in the 'Pool shirt in the middle of the Chelsea block (chuckle).

C'mon you Reds:D

i was thinking of going into the man u pub in the city wearing an everton shirt if they were still fighting for the title. thank god they're not.

should be a good 'un at stamford bridge that's for sure. i think we can do 'em over.

bah, time for a nice cup of PG

I see the Toffees were bitching about the championship trophy being awarded at Goodison, they eventually agreed that it could be presented after the match and after the Everton team had done a lap of honour, and presumably after all the Everton fans had buggered off home:D

Just had a nice Rosie myself, luvverly.

Each to his own, but I'd prefer this:

Um, Valencia anybody?

Deffinitely. Valencia are my second team. When I was at school in spain, they were the team I supported. It made things a little tricky when Valencia were playing Arsenal in the champions league!

Right, I'm off to Stamford Bridge, I've got my 'Pool shirt on and I'm in with the Reds fans :D Billy, my student steward friend at Chelsea managed to get me tickets that weren't right in the middle of the Headhunters stand:eek:

I'll post when I get back, although you'll all know the result by then.

C'MON YOU REDS

Final results are in, and unfortunately you didn't make it. My brother-in-law (chelsea supporter) will be rather pleased with this. Better luck next season. At least you're in europe, which at one stage this season it didn't look like you were even going to manage that.
Roll on the FA Cup Final! :)

Right, I'm back and just starting to get dry, can I just say:

GUTTED

Great game, bags of atmosphere, Chelsea fans were great, as were the 'Pool fans, singing right to the end, I had a bad feeling when I got to Stamford Bridge and found Hamann wasn't playing, he lets Gerrard get much further forward, but when Hyppia's goal went in I though we might have had a chance, well, for all of about a minute anyway... did I say

GUTTED ?

Their defence was excellent, Cudicini saved well from Gerrard in the second half, but we really didn't look like scoring after half-time.

Still, a season with a trophy isn't all bad, but I'm still

GUTTED

did I mention that?

Here's to next season... another UEFA cup in the bag I guess.:D

:(
the only thing good about today was that it's raining, always kinda relaxing to walk home in the rain after a 'pool loss.

the wrong team showed up today, my theory is still proving right too, every time we score in the first 12 minutes, we lose.

at least a got a couple of bevvies free and a load of hugs n kisses heh, suddenly everything felt right with the world, for a split second anyways.

You'll never walk alone."

Now that is a sentiment I TOTALLY agree with, along with:

"Ohhhh, Sami, Sami.... Sami, Sami, Sami, Sami Hyppia."

The man was a god amongst mortals this season, Le Bosses best buy.

Patrik Berger signed to Portsmouth today on a free transfer.

I always liked Berger as a player, I'll be sad to see him go, but he didn't feature much in the last few years, mainly through injury.

Good man, always tried hard.

Good luck Patrik.

yer kidding??? damn, I always liked "paddy" too. those long flowing locks haha, i had hair like him three years ago, nearly got lucky too, girl i know through a mate used to watch liverpool just for patrik. guess i'll be looking out for the pompey now. strange no one else picked him up though, he's gonna be top scorer for sure.......

He was talking to Leeds, and everyone assumed he'd go there to shore up their midfield, but Pompey grabbed him first, and as they've just been promoted to the Premiership, I guess they're gonna need players like him.

Steve Finnan

Liverpool have signed Fulham's Irish international defender Steve Finnan for 3.5 mil, he's an attacking left full back in the Riise mould.

Rushy rates him.

Wonder where this leaves Jamie Carragher?

Still chasing Cisse...

From what I've seen of Finnan, he looks good. Apparently Arsenal and Man Utd were looking at him last season. Cisse doesn't think he's going to leave this summer.

I just hope Boro get Geremi...

Gerrard Houllier, Liverpool's indestructable manager, has been awarded an honorary OBE for services to football.

Well done Le Boss.:D

(Arsene Wenger got one too, but his doesn't count cos he's a goooooonnnnnneeeerrrrrr);) ;)

Incedentally, Steve Finnan is right-sided, not left as I stated earlier.

MOFS

Cisse reckons he will play for Liverpool one day, but thinks he'll stay at Auxerre one more season.
