After seeing a friends iPhone in Rose Gold they need to drop the gold for sure. I see no gold just a washed out pink. Where did Apple Use the word gold for this.

My friend likes it and she is very happy and that is all that matters, just not for me.

I agree I also see no gold only pink, I'm not understanding where ppl are seeing the gold on this phone

Anytime people discuss what a color looks like, they should keep in mind many of us perceive various colors quite differently. There are multiple forms of color blindness, and various gradations of each.

I have a couple different mild forms of color blindness and can look at someone's hair and think it's red, but my bf will say it's brown. Or, I can look at something he sees as dark gray and will think it's dark green.

Whether someone is insisting rose gold is "definitely pink" or "definitely more copper" etc etc, keep in mind that different people can literally be seeing a different color than you are. Your personal experience is NOT universal.

Is it colorblindness or do you have tetrachromatic vision? A very small percentage of women can see a far wider range of colors than other people because they have 4 color vision cones in their eyes instead of just 3. Unfortunately, the gene that causes this leads to colorblindness in their male offspring.

I've taken color blindness tests and am definitely color blind, plus, I'm a guy so perhaps my Mom was tetrachromatic. :)

The white lines was the reason why I didn't choose Rose Gold, it kills the look in my opinion. They should've added a color that was a shade lighter of the Rose Gold so it can blend. But overall congrats on you new phone and enjoy.

That's what I was thinking. If they put some color on those white lines it would have looked much better. I did get
the Rose Gold and it does have a copper like color to it, not gold.

I just came back from the Apple Store I think maybe you should get checked for cataracts the phone is PINK! PINK! PINK! And this was confirmed from 2 Apple employees at the store.

Those stupid ****s could tell me the sky is blue and I'd have to go outside to verify it. I've dealt with these morons. They are preteen morons who don't know **** from a hole in the ground. If they are your source, I weep for you.

It's so funny how many days we've been trying to figure out what color this phone is! It really defies description for me.

I visited one in the store today and really liked the color. Said in another thread that it looks like rosy nail polish with a sheer gold topcoat. :)

I just hate the white bezel. So, space gray for me.

Did you read my post they are not my source I was actually at the store and looked at the phone myself and I can make obvious observation on my own I don't need anyone to tell me it's pink, I looked at it told my husband wow that's pink and all the apple employee did was agree with me I never asked for his opinion. Oh and by the way I'm not a preteen I'm a 44 year old wine with 20/20 vision.

Actually....some women have a genetic mutation and the cones in their eyes can see a million more colors than men. I say some women, i don't know how common it is but it is a fact.

All pics I've seen, it is clearly pink. It's not ugly, just not a color id roll with. Too feminine.

Just for the hell of it, I grabbed a subtle salmon pink polo out of the laundry and laid the phone on it. This was the result. I have no clue how people are seeing more pink than gold in this phone. We must perceive color very differently. To me, it looks like the standard gold with a slight coppery pink cast.

Im curious if half of these stupid comments saying that it's pink even have the phone? I got the phone yesterday and it is CLEARLY a copper color. Like seriously reading through these posts you can tell 60% of these comments are trolls. Just because you didn't want Rose Gold and decided to pick up Space Gray doesn't mean that it's Pink. YOU didn't want to risk ordering it because you care too much about what other people think about the color of your iPhone. Go get your eyes tested already.. :p:p:D
Maybe it was the lighting in my office but a co-worker got one and it looked pink. But in these pictures (in this thread) it definitely looks like a copper color.

Seriously? Is it not obvious? Apple is calling it rose GOLD because Chinese people love that "gold" part and they will perceive it as more valuable than if apple were to call it "pink"

Yes, because only chinese people love the gold color. Rose gold has been trending in fashion and jewelry. If anything, this color is marketed towards women.

On a side note, which case are you using with it? I started with midnight blue (which I used with my iPhone 6) but switched today to rose gray leather. I think it looks better with the latter. Yes, it's more feminine, but I think anyone can pull it off.

We went to Apple tonight to check out the Rose Gold in person. My daughter, who is 13, said it was way too pink and she didn't like it. She preferred the SG! This is a girl we wait 30 minutes for so she can "get ready" just to go to Walmart. LOL If a 13 year old girl says it's pink, it's pink!
