can anyone help me with getting my dock transparent again? transparent dock wont work now, and i tried getting clear dock but its an ape? file....what the hell is that.....it opens automatically with xACT which i use to convert flacs/shns/and wav files.....are there any transparent/clear dock programs that will work with this update

I lost ALL of my items in the source list of iPhoto when it first launched...reopening the application fixed it.

My external Mouse tracking speed still resets back to the fastest setting whenever I restart or unplug and replug the mouse. It's been this way in Tiger since day #1.

1 Gz TiPb using logitech cordless Mouseman optical.

Only about 4 minutes from start bong to running on the iBook in my sig. Note its running a 5400RPM HD.

EDIT: **WARNING** Front Row is broken on my iBook.

EDIT 2 : Maybe not completely broken. I may have been something specific to my set-up. Xkeys may have been the culprit.

EDIT 3: It appears Xkeys and Front Row are both working, however the Start Front Row Applescript is broken.

I felt so good when I tried Safari with the Acid2 Test IT WORKED! yee ha!
I'm VERY impressed. Tried that with Opera recently and even that was fairly messed up, don't even want to mention Safari 2.0.1...

But 2.0.2... amazing...!

The attached image is NOT the reference page... :)

Edit: Just a hiccup... image attached now...

To everyone wanting the cleardock/transparent dock installer... because of strong interest I'll open a thread in Mac Basics later when I get home and post the link if I find it. If not I'll upload it somewhere (no clue where yet, if anyone knows let me know) and post the link.

So far so good here...27 second download, three minute restart. Good number of permissions repaired. No issues so far.

You STILL can't customise number formatting! You could do it in 10.3 but they took it out of 10.4

Edit: Here's an interesting change - the .exe file on my desktop no longer has a Virtual PC icon, but rather something that looks like it's out of System 7!

Installed fine on my backup drive (extneral firewire drive with Tiger installed). Also 7200 RPM desktop drive vs. 5400 laptop drive. OSX feels soooooo much faster with the 7200drive. WOW

Run the Combo If You Can

I think it's safer to run the 109 MB Combo updater no matter what version you have running. It may just be a phoney rumor, but I've read in the past that Combo update running usually yields better results.

97mb on my iMac G5 first rev. It had all updates up until this was released so I didn't miss anything that would add to the size. Boot took about 3 minutes in which my fans went full blast.

second restart "only" took 2 minutes on my ibook (check sig.)...but i'm repairing permissions again and there's a lot being repaired AGAIN! gonna restart for a third time and repair permissions again. things are actually a bit sluggish since the update

Thanks, yeah, I think it was spotlight. There was a period where there was a lot of disk activity, so I'm assuming it was spotlight...

And now, I complain... Ahem...

DAMN YOU APPLE! WHY THE F*** WON'T YOU FIX THIS!

I seriously don't see what's wrong in the pic that you are complaining about...

It's an installer package that changes just that (makes the dock clear). Comes with an uninstaller too and has never made ANY problems for me. If you're interested I can send you the link or the file later (I am at work right now) just pm me. :)
Thanks, I might take you up on that if APE and/or ClearDock actually quits on me... for now it works fine... :)
