Im on ur Makbook. Making delayz.

Oh good grief... We now have the Lolmac...

in the words of morrissey; "please, please, please, let me get what i want.."

probably just an update for iCal, though. Or maybe they're adding a gig to ipod classic.:D

Someone should feed that cat asap.... Poor thing...

Look how hungry it is for a new MBP

APPLE will NOT release the new MBP today....

Fidel Castro just retired, and they are unwilling to let anything take the spotlight away from their product announcements so don't expect anything today!

I checked an hour ago and the price of the ipod shuffle was at $79.00 on the main page but $49.00 on the ipod page. Maybe there are just fixing that glitch.

I'm going to be buying a new mac book pro when the updates arrive, and I have my BTO MBP ready, but I'm not sure about the apple care plan. Most of my buddies say don't waste the money on any type of warrenty but I'm not sure. Any ideas from current :apple: owners?

From a few pages ago, but hey, its a story.

I am the kind of guy who never gets warranties because they are a rip-off and I am super careful with my gadgets. I will never again skip out on an apple care plan.

I got extremely lucky once. My Tibook had a bunch of problems spring up around year 2. My logic board blew. Oddest symptoms too. If I shut down the Mac, I could not get it to turn back on unless the machine was upside down, and the bottom case removed. Even the apple techs were baffled. I asked what the price of the repair would be... $820 just for the mainboard without installation....

Luckily I had a friend that worked as a genius at an apple store a few extra miles away, so I went to him and he hooked me up wiht a flat-price repair for 350.00. So I was able to get my new logic board, and even replace a few other worn out pieces since it was a flat cost repair.

Had I not had a friend on the inside, that repair could have cost me well over $2000 in parts and services. Hell, the LCD I tacked on the flat-repair (whitespots) was worth 650+ alone.

Moral of the story, for 300 bucks, BUY THE DAMN APPLE CARE. You never know when your hardware will go, even if you are extremely careful and anal about your computer like I am.

Remember, apples are like high-priced cars. You can't get away with generic parts and you pay a premium for the real ones.

I'm with ya.... that ipod page is loading slowly as hell.

I call either a new/cheaper/lager capacity shuffle!

Well bugger.

Who honestly thinks it's going to be a MBP vs. an updated iPod shuffle? I'm bracing myself for yet another disappointment.

I do not think it's anything to do with the iPod. The MacBook Pros are practically non-existant in stores. Apple isn't going to shoot itself in the foot and let it's sales numbers slide because they didn't have product on the shelves for customers. The stock situation is a very carefully planned thing by Apple. I honesty cannot imagine them waiting any longer to announce the new MBPs.

That being said I have a bad feeling that I'm somehow going to be disappointed again for the umpteenth week in a row. Just not by iPod shuffles. It'll be... an updated Mac Mini.

i got it. new displays will be launched today.

update
they will lower the macbook air price by $200

wow takin a long time for the store to come back.. must be waiting for the paint to dry on the nano's.
