FAKE BECAUSE IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THE IMAGE IS A iMAC AND A MACBOOK AIR KEYBOARD PHOTOSHOPPED TOGETHER. 'NOUGH SAID. :apple:

OMG EPIC FAILURE. It's hideous, no firewire, NO TRACKPAD buttons? are you kidding me?

Overpriced Acer laptop there. NOT a "Pro" laptop.

Thank you Apple for giving up on what made you better than Wintel: professional, superior products. Now you're just appealing to the least common denominator PC crowd. Go back to your ipods and iphones and ipoops and get out of the computer business. Sheesh

World: Please Apple, give us a second mouse button..
Apple: Quit whining, little brats, or we'll even take your single mouse button away!

Meh... Apple could probably sell me recycled laptops from 1981 if they wanted to at this point, and I'd still love them for it...

I think it looks sweet... let's see what happens tomorrow...

looks to me like that would be the macbook and not the pro. I mean I'm not professional but with the keyboard being like that of the current macbook (spaced out) it seems like that would fit.

Just my 2 cents

Where's the power button?

No Mouse button, that's fine, but how do I turn the thing on lol.

Epic EPIC fail if they make glossy standard, I don't know who Apple is talking to and what crowd likes that damned glossy screen. o gosh just keep it an option!!

I assume they look at the best numbers they can get, their sales numbers. Seriously, do you think they would get rid of the matte screen if it outsold the glossy? I love the glossy screen, I've never had an issue with glare despite using it with large windows behind me. In the meantime, you are able to get deeper blacks making all my pictures look much better.

I will be pissed if they drop the firewire port though...

if it hasn't been pointed out already the second photo looks like a MacBook and not the Pro. Look at the ports and correct me if I am wrong.

I don't mind a button less trackpad as my PB's is getting pretty sticky at times when not in use.

and i am loving it that people are so worked up over 1 photo of a possible glossy screen MBP.

The usual apple response.

"It's hideous"

(days pass)

"It's ok"

(weeks pass)

"It's beautiful"

(months pass)

"nothing could be better"

(product update)

"WTF? I'm sticking with the previous version!"

I swear, that's the exact progression that I followed for the luxo lamp iMac G4. In retrospect, I think it's one of the most uniquely designed and prettiest looking computers ever.

Then the same thing happened with the iMac G5... :D

The bezel looks the same size, and the iSight is still there. I've been using the tap commands of the trackpad for years, so omitting the mechanical button doesn't affect me. But no firewire is crappy move, and the glare on that screen is blinding! The whole point of a laptop is to be portable. If I can't use it outdoors in bright sunlight it may as well be a desktop.

LOL so much negativity here.

I just wanted to say I love the glossy screen. I've had my 15" glossy screen MBP for a year and a half now. Glare isn't much an issue for me. The LED screen gets really bright and if you're not in direct sunlight then it's really not an issue. And I love the vivid colors and dark dark blacks... :)

Did anyone notice this...
"They have since updated and say that the MacBook and 17" MacBook Pro will not be refreshed tomorrow and that the notebook containts "two full-on NVIDIA GPUs"."

and does that mean there will be no macbook updates? because mine is on ebay currently...

Yes where is the isight? power button?

There is an iSight, look closely. As far as a power button... I don't know... maybe you speak to it? Actually the lack of a power button leads me to my next point...

Fake.

Top Pic: Note the asymmetrical front corners and hinge, as one would expect when an iMac lid was dropped behind the photoshopped keyboard, and was covered by an incompetant Clone-stamping. Also, note the power button is missing the location it appears in the leaked shells.

Bottom Pic: Overbite, bizarre lighting, painted-over ports

I totally agree with you on this. Fake.

You guys seriously don't "see what they did there"?

Sorry for the editing, temporary brain fart on how to do BBcode

Well, I'm happy to say I'm still satisfied with my MBP. That keyboard is a flashback to the TiBook days which is okay I guess, but the rest of it looks kinda stupid and cheap.

Double tap and drag. I used to do all the time on an HP from 2002. Haven't been able to do it on my MBP though. It's a software issue; probably fixed. (It better be!)

I could do the double tap and drag on my old iBook from 2000 running OS 8.6

Are you sure they removed that? I never used to use the button.

dangit....just sold my macbook pro thinking I wanted one of these....

it better be able to be matte and i'm soooo disappointed with the bezel..

look at the previous leak and this one side by side. If the first is legit, then that has to be a really good photoshop on the latest leak if it is fake because it is right on.
