Apple watch and ipad pro all saw shipping estimate slip... Didnt mean much. Always be people who will buy anything at launch.

My 2010 17" MacBook Pro is starting to feel outdated. A space gray 15" 2.7 GHz Radeon Pro 460 is mighty tempting right about now.

Just do it man i'm in the same boat and will drop kick my 2010 17" off a cliff when the new one comes in.

half speed express card slot no USB 3.0, no thunderbolt, 8 GB ram krusty SATA-2 slots....

I work off three different sites and for ***** and giggles I budgeted the cost of the adapters I would need to equip each of them without needing to carry them with me.

I stopped counting after $300. I hope my current Mac runs a long time cuz I ain't buying another one until USB-C gets MUCH more mainstream.

Itemize your list. I'm having a hard time believing you. I have both a retina MBP and the new Retina MacBook with only one port.

Yup just ordered original MBA 2.2 ghz i7 fully packed.
Should last me long as my last Apple notebook.
Will never buy these new products.

Damn... Apple... was nice knowing you.

You sir are a marketing master. . . I really need a damn toaster too!!

lol! You really stuck it to them! Buying a maxed out APPLE notebook!

Wow, the 1500 base model is not even running a full watt mobile part... It has the 540gpu. That is a 15watt part - that is just an ultrabook in a pro chassis

I think there will be TB 2 to TB 3 cables.

There are already are. Apple offers them at checkout. But unfortunately, the numerous people spewing hatred on this website haven't even taken the time to look or understand whats' going on. They have no clue.

No upgradable storage. And Apple ditched the SD slot so people can't even expand with an SD drive. Clever Tim. You are such a greedy bastard!

Ok. The time has come to start calling out the trolls. Last time I checked, most people expand their storage needs with external drives, not SD cards. Grow up.

what would be the speculated geek bench scores with the new mbp? based on the processor; being an older gen I'm assuming? i know the 2015 models 15" are at 14k

I was really looking forward to replacing my MBA. Now I'm really hesitant, i'll need about $200 worth of adapters to hook up all my current accessories. I don't mind spending the money but I hate adapters! Seriously this reminds me of when Jobs sheit on tablets and then Apple makes the iPad 2 years later, or how they used to put down large screen phones and now they are making them. They think they know what's good for us but seriously Apple you guys made an arse of yourselves this time. This coming from a loyal Apple fan since 2004!!

Better buy now. Who knows when the next update will happen. 2018 if you are lucky. Maybe 2019.
Suitable Kaby Lake processors are coming in January I believe. Now that the redesign is finished, we may get prompt updates. I'm hoping for a March Kaby Lake MBP with a $100 price cut and DDR4.

And so the absolute disgraceful launch tactics of Apple continue. Produce minimum stock, announce, delay delivery by 2 weeks on the first day and build up demand.

Happens with every single product they have launched since Angela started.

It apparently seems to work, except to completely piss off all the customers who didn't manage to order within the first hour..... Well done Apple.

Just another fine reason to lose more customers. it is amazing.

+1. 2-3 weeks was already too long and they will have low stock through the holidays. Someone screwed up with the release of these.

Falling to 3-4 weeks that quickly shows that they are just starting to make these and not at great quantities.

Cook was supposed to be the genius at this and for some reason gets a free pass. Lost holiday sales rarely are recovered, iPhone 7plus and iWatch are running into the same problem.

Consumers will move on, especially at these prices. I remember when laptops were available on launch day.

I was really hoping folks would protest the direction Apple is heading with their wallets but it doesn't seem that's happening yet.

That's the beauty of locking people into an ecosystem.

People would rather bite the bullet and finally upgrade their aging Macs than uproot their whole workflow.

Apple knows they have people hooked well enough to get away with ripping them off here and there.

It does make you wonder if all the people complaining about it here are just a small group of extremely vocal critics who just love to whine about Apple's every move, day in and day out, but aren't representative of the needs and wants of Apple's user base in general.

It's hard to draw too much out of anybody responding today. Most of the people who follow a keynote are diehard Apple fans. Early adopters are going to buy no matter what. It'll be more telling to see how sales pan out over the first 6 months or so.

 Sure. Apple is deliberately holding back supply during the most important shopping season of the year to make it look like demand is bigger than it really is.

Angela Ahrendts doesn't control the supply chain. If this is like the iPhone 7 the initial launch will be tight but supply will ramp up fairly quickly. I'm sure they want to have lots of December sales.

It's the same routine they always use. They LOVE the optics of looking like they sell out early. They know early adopters will be so horny for the new release that wont' mind waiting a few weeks. It creates the facade that they literally can't make them fast enough to meet orders. Limit initial supply then quickly ramp up. Within a few weeks MR will be posting how 'Mac ship times are dropping' and amazingly enough there will be plenty of supply heading into Black Friday.

It's as predictable as the sun coming up tomorrow.

I have the same but 15" really does feel cramped coming from 17".

At least Windows 7, 10, and Linux run very well on my 2010 17" i5.

If I ditch OSX entirely I can upgrade from 8 to 16GB of RAM, too. The motherboard supports it but OSX doesn't... Just my luck.

I wish Apple would consider throwing a bone to those of us who need some screen real estate on the go. I thought they would bump to 14" and 16" with thinner bezels.
