Right, but there’s no reason that assessment can’t be done on the front end at a store rather than buying several and trekking to the store to return the unwanted ones. The enthusiasm here is fun, but no one is going to die if they get the new MBP on Day 3 instead of Day 1. And buying multiples means other people have to wait longer.

You are correct, that no one is going to die if they don’t get their new ? right away. However, I will always support @TheYayAreaLiving and others on this board. You are too funny, but I do understand. ☺️ I just got back from turning in my M1 at the Apple store in preparation… Ordered the 16” 1tb w/trade-in of the Mini and applied the GC balance. Delivery date is 11/23-12/1 which I’m fine with since I still have my Mini for work/school.

Now that I’ve actually have taken steps, I am EXCITED!!! 🤩🥰 I guess that it’s a good thing that @LFC2020 isn’t allowed in this thread anymore🤣🤣🤣 as it might further entice him to pull the trigger 😁.

Definitely not pulling the trigger lol, will check them out in store first. 😁

Personally, my experience was different with my 2017 space gray mbp. My silver iPad slid off a pillow and onto my mbp that was right next to it (it did not fall down onto it) and removed some of the anodization. No dent or scratch, just this mark where the color was removed. This time I just went with a silver mbp to avoid this. Perhaps it landed harder than I thought I saw, but it definitely didn’t land with any great force. I knew I should have kept the iPad in its case lol

For those of us with tracking numbers: I'm not sure if anyone else no longer gets full tracking information on the UPS site but there is a workaround. You can enter your tracking numbers into the UPS "Store" site and it shows full tracking info/every scan rather than just bundling everything into "On the way"

What hooked me on going with the 16” instead of the 14” is that I want to keep the MBP for at least 5-7 years and don’t want to regret getting the smaller screen.

Don’t think it drives up the price. It does improve the quality of the products. Because Apple looks into the issues why people are returning it. They have all the data. Customer satisfaction is in Apple’s DNA. 🧬

Would you take a risk of ordering 2 💻 pro and decide which one you like? Or would you go with a delayed release (back-ordered) and wait 2-3 months for the 💻 to arrive and then decide if you like your 💻 or not?

Join the club. My late-2016 MBP died in May. I was hoping the June/July rumors would come true, but no dice.

I have an Early 2013 MBP that has been holding on for deer life. I have been waiting far too long for this upgrade and I feel like this entire week has been made up of microwave & plank minutes.
