What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

You are too funny, but I do understand. ☺️ I just got back from turning in my M1 at the Apple store in preparation… Ordered the 16” 1tb w/trade-in of the Mini and applied the GC balance. Delivery date is 11/23-12/1 which I’m fine with since I still have my Mini for work/school.

Now that I’ve actually have taken steps, I am EXCITED!!! 🤩🥰 I guess that it’s a good thing that @LFC2020 isn’t allowed in this thread anymore🤣🤣🤣 as it might further entice him to pull the trigger 😁.
I just located the last time I posted in here and realize YOU DID IT! Shortly after I had to start cooking lunch (stupid real life). YAY!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Wait, you pulled the trigger? (I stepped away from MR for a few hours) I thought you were going to go to the store on Tuesday before ordering….
Yeah, when I was in the Apple store this morning, I was trying to get some info…, but was told that they rarely get any real amount of launch items and that it would be best to pre-order. Now, I will still stalk the hell out of my local Apple stores in the hope of snagging one, in which case I will cancel my pre-order.

Was it a flagship store you visited or just a regular one? Also, how many Apple stores around where you live?

The Apple store that I went to this morning is a flagship store which I typically go to because it has plenty of parking. In total, there are 3 flagship stores within a 10-mile radius of me.

I’m just so jealous of everyone who has the option to go to the Apple store and try to snag one! I live on an island and sadly we have to do without 🥲

I wonder what Best Buy’s setup and in-store offerings will be like.
I live within 2 miles of 2 flagship stores and grew up living 1 mile from an Apple Store. I can't imagine having to drive/walk more than 15 minutes to get to a Genius Bar appointment, walk around/hang out at a store or handle in store pickups.

Hopefully you can get in from the best but. Btw, which island? What side of the country?

After having spent the vast majority of my life in cities with multiple Apple stores, it is a bummer! Having anything fixed here is such a hassle too. We have one local pharmacy (weird I know haha) who is now “Apple Certified”. What stinks is that they don’t repair in-store (they do some small things but don’t keep stock of repair parts), it gets shipped to the mainland then back. They quoted my husband almost 4 days without a phone ? He is still rocking that broken screen ?

I’m on the west coast best coast, more specifically off the coast of Washington state on Vancouver Island.

For those of you who had your MacBooks come into Anchorage on UPS 109 via Narita, Japan, the flight to Louisville will be departing in approximately an hour:

If you want to take tracking your shipment to an extreme level, you can tune into the Ancorage air traffic control frequencies at the below link. You'll want to listen for "UPS 109."

The easiest one to listen to will be the one called "PANC Del/Gnd/Twr/App." That covers all the frequencies that the plane will be on but it could get a little congested since it is scanning between a lot of frequencies. You could also start on "PANC Del/Gnd/App" but then will need to switch over to the one that says "Tower" when the plane gets near the runway (which will be indicated by ATC saying, "UPS 109, contact tower on XXX.XX" and the pilot reading back the instruction).

Once the plane takes off it will be handled by the ANC tower for a few minutes and they will hand it off to an ANC departure controller. Eventually they will be handed off to Anchorage Center which also has a Live ATC link, but it gets pretty boring at that point.

When they are getting into SDF you can listen to them come in the same way.

Hope this is interesting for someone!

Springfield has multiple Mapple stores and even a glass cube.

I have three around me but only one is a flagship.

Now this is hardcore

What do you think most Apple lovers have been doing for the past 14 years with tracking their iPhones? FlightAware even put up a dedicated page for it:

First line on the site:

"Once you've received your UPS tracking number from Apple, use this page to figure out what flight is carrying your iPhone or Apple Watch. The “departure scan” in your UPS tracking should match the departure time for a flight listed below."

The same applies for the tracking for your Mac. PANC is covered by LiveATC, KSDF is also covered.. so then you just need to see if your local airport is. If it is, then you could track it straight to your hometown to the point where the plane lands.
