Whatever color you like best, get it. Don't worry about one aging different than the other. I've owned both, and used them heavily and traveled 30+ weeks per year with each color. So long as you keep them clean and don't abuse them, they both will look good over the years.

He has an amazing point and @TheYayAreaLiving you have plentiful cloths to keep either looking TIP TOP.

I have a feeling you're leaning towards the classic silver... go with your gut!

Glad I went down to pick up the iPhone this morning.... at least I'll have one new Apple product to set up.

Was just notified by UPS that my MBP was damaged in shipment and returned to their warehouse. No delivery. Now I have to work with Apple to get a replacement shipped out..... estimated to be delivered by mid-December.

It made it all the way from Shanghai to the PNW US, then the local UPS carriers got their hands on it. Sigh.

First gut tells me Silver! It’s a classic color. I’m gonna play with silver Mac tonight and see how I like it. Hopefully it helps me decide.

Setting up mine now, device to device transfer hopefully gets it all. Definitely don’t need the 1tbSSD (750go left) but bad speakers on my 2018 worked out for me.

I was promised a launch day delivery. Make sure it’s the main UPS CC hub. Honestly if I was in your shoes I would call UPS and have them walk through it. Tell them you want to pick it up ASAP. They will walk you through the process

I see all these posts about big and heavy but the 14" will still be 32% thinner AND 22% lighter than my 2011 13" MBP! ???

...Aaaand the 16" is about a pound lighter & about 30% thinner than the 2008-2012 15" unibody MacBook Pro.

Edit: The 2009-2012 13" MacBook Pro weighs as much as the 2021 16" MacBook Pro

On the phone with Apple for a while. They located a unit similar to what I ordered, but 1TB larger SSD that is being shipped from a store. FEDEX overnight, which in this case means Thursday. All is good. Now if I could just get an Apple Cloth that's just lying around, I would be complete!

Thanks. It is what it is, I guess. The initial frustration's worn off, so hoping they're either doing late deliveries today, or that it shows up tomorrow. Between this and FedEx not delivering my Switch OLED after a week in my city, I'm concerned for our carriers lol

Call Apple back and have them sent you a free Apple cloth! And if they don’t, you come back here tell me. I’ll either call Apple myself and have them grant one for you or you can have one of mine 😞

The plain cardboard part? No they don't give a rat's behind about that. They only care about the box that the actual MacBook is sealed in with the picture of the MacBook Pro on it.
