What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

My excitement disappeared quickly this afternoon when I opened my 16" MBP and saw a few horizontal lines on the screen (no damage to the box or outside of the MBP). Already have it being sent back to Apple for a replacement. Good to see that SloRide got a quick replacement shipped out, so hopefully I'll get a new one soon.

Sorry to see. Hope you get your new one fast and get some sort of perk for your troubles

From what little I was able to do after work, I’m loving it so far. As you said, it’s very smooth and responsive. I love the keyboard and the speakers are amazing!

I know each person has their own tolerance, but I don’t find the 16” too heavy at all. It does have some heft to it but for me is easily manageable.

Talking about skins, I LOVE Dbrand skins and is what I use for all of my laptops. I went with the titanium finish—it offers a grippier surface. When I have time, I have some learning to do as well with the new OS and how it interacts with the new M1 MBP.

YAY for your husband’s inability to return anything, and he does have a point. ?
Dbrand Black swarm on my SG MBP. Nice quality and the apple cutout was awesome! Also has holes for the cover screws on the bottom side. I didn’t wrap the inside though - a little worried about possible screen contact. The texture is nice and grippy - and I still can slide it in/out of my sleeve.

Soooooooo the UPS map tracker is useful. I watched the driver circle my block all day and then drive back to the airport hub without ever attempting to deliver my MBP. So I have that going for me now. I can't even begin to express my frustration. Now I have to wait until tomorrow for them to *hopefully* make the delivery.

Pre-empt the delivery. Head into the UPS site or UPS MyChoice, and select the option to pick up at the distribution center. That way you won't have to worry about this again.

Just looking back. We've come full circle from this.

Cool at the time but wow this was a disappointment.
Just saw neighbor’s wifi account name appear… really? Y’all notice something. Come on..

Not as bad as when I was doing tech for a school system & I get a call from one of the elementary school principals saying there was a WiFi name that was really naughty. It was “I know your ****ing password”. Turned out to be a house across the street.

I have a 3M Charred Dragon Black skin set ordered. I always have skins on my MacBooks.

Edit: Nice Creative speaks

Sooooooo... Setting up my new MacBook Pro this afternoon. Migration goes well from my M1 MacBook Air. Downloaded the Monterey 12.0.1 software update. Everything is going along smoothly. Loving the new MacBook Pro. Meanwhile, in the background, my 10 week old mini Goldendoodle puppy decides this new magsafe cable looks really, really cool. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Mind you, he's not chewed on any wire or cable up until this new magsafe cable. Good news: it still works; wrapped some electrical tape around it (...it's only a couple of hours old for the love of Pete...). Fortunately I ordered a spare magsafe cable a couple of days ago. Moral of the story -- there is none!!! Puppies will be puppies and puppy parents get mesmerized by a shiny new MacBook Pro and are oblivious to everything around them. My bad.... Thatcher says "Hi"!!! And he really likes his new chew toy!!! o_O

It could. In this case, it didn't. During the 'settlement' decision by Apple, I saw the photo of the crushed box in the UPS truck. It hadn't been opened by a person..... just by blunt force trama.
That is good yet unfortunate. T
...Aaaand the 16" is about a pound lighter & about 30% thinner than the 2008-2012 15" unibody MacBook Pro.

Edit: The 2009-2012 13" MacBook Pro weighs as much as the 2021 16" MacBook Pro

So, I moved from the late 2016 15 inch MBP to the 2021 16 inch M1 Max.

I so expected this to be such a larger heavier machine. It's less than one pound heavier and it feels close to the same size width. I just get greeted with a massive screen when I open it up. Yep it's thicker and that's ok. I want a more industrial machine. We have a lot of planes and places to be at.

We are quite new in our relationship but this feels nowhere near as heavy and bigger than I thought it would be.

What kind of sleeve do you have? Love this btw ?

Glad I went down to pick up the iPhone this morning.... at least I'll have one new Apple product to set up.

Was just notified by UPS that my MBP was damaged in shipment and returned to their warehouse. No delivery. Now I have to work with Apple to get a replacement shipped out..... estimated to be delivered by mid-December.

It made it all the way from Shanghai to the PNW US, then the local UPS carriers got their hands on it. Sigh.
Jeez I’m so sorry :( I really hope you get helped out by Apple and get your mbp soon

My favorite of all time is a neighboring network at one of our offices, I need to get a screen shot of it if it is still around: ItHzWhenIP
