I worked at UPS years ago. Maybe things have changed since, but when I worked for them drivers were not permitted to hand over packages to approaching customers, even with an ID.
So I've got my packages directly from the driver about 3 times now. Once the driver asked for my ID, but other times they asked for my address and name. Maybe they weren't permitted, but gave it away since it takes one thing off their drop off list? this is since 2020 and 2021 as well.

Very true, and I hope it works out for anyone who tries, just want to set the expectation that they may not be able to. Many UPS drivers are overworked, underpaid, and quite exhausted so the easier you can make their day the better ;)
Ahh, I don’t think they are underpaid. They make pretty good money. Plenty of OT too! It’s just the work they do is non stop. It is a busy, high paced job.

Judging from the huge disparity in compensation between those on the leadership team, looking at UPS market share and annual profits, yea they are underpaid.

I don’t want to go off topic but numbers and stats don’t lie. Way above average.

Btw, what is your expected delivery date for your Mac? Did you order the 14” model or 16”, which color?

Yea I think that really goes toward my larger point that most workers in the US are underpaid. ;)
(I'm comparing the amount they work, the amount of revenue their work generates, and how much their leaders are making for basically no labor at all)

I ordered a 14" M1 Pro bumped up to 10 cores. Ordered it as soon as preorders opened.
Immediately got the Nov 4 estimated delivery date.

Order just shows processing ;/

Good point!

I would call Apple right away and find out. Here is Apple Inc. internal phone number. It directs you to Apple management team directly.

They have more power and more control. They should be able to help you out and let you know what’s going on. Let us know what happens and keep us posted. Good luck :D

Thanks for that! I'll give them a call!

Are you in a similar boat?

Ahhh, is this all a software issue y’all encountered? So, what’s the issue! The battery is not charging properly?
Just the person I wanted to speak to 😁

Looks like you can't charge your Mac when it's shut down with low battery.

Guessing you haven't charged your Mac?

Once it reaches 30% can you shut it down completely, close the lid, wait a minute, then plug in the charger. 🙏

If it's too much trouble, all good.

My battery was still at 50% yesterday. It takes forever to see the battery go down. Since the launch date, I have only charge my Mac once. If I ever reach that 30% 🔋 mark i will try that. Maybe it was just a once time bug?

You're the real MVP for today. 👊

Nope 🥺 happened 3 times when at 16% 25% and 30% it just works 🙄😤 better not be hardware related, I need a rest from the apple store.

I know that now and have learned my lesson. 😂 I’m now down to cover, bottom and palm rest. I think it was my 2010/2011 MBP silver that showed wear on the palm rest and I’ve been using skins ever since.
Also, you recommend DBran skins for the MacBook 💻?

Thanks!

Dang! That’s wild. We need to put this theory in test. Because if that’s the case that’s not OK! Still within our returnable date. Happened 3 times, wow!!!

Since @LasersGoPewPew has 2 Expensive MacBook Pro. She should test it out, LOL! She can test on both machines? What do you think?
