What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

Ordered my 14 inch on the 21st of December, no change happening in order status yet, says my order is still being processed. Estimated delivery date is 20-27 January.

I am super excited to finally get a new Mac after having used a 2011 MacBook Pro for all these years... But these delivery times are killing me! Sure the chip shortage is to blame, so can't blame Apple either, but it's frustrating to have to wait this long...

On that note, should I really expect a delivery of 20-27 January (hasn't changed since I ordered it) or would that be overly optimistic?
 
I order mine on December 16, Expected delivery on Jan 19 to 26. No charge to my cc yet and still processing. Should I worry?

Has anyone seen store stock of M1 Max models in the last 2 weeks or so in the US? I've been relentlessly searching for the prebuild M1 Max specs (32GB RAM, 1TB Storage 16" or the 64GB RAM, 4TB Storage 16" - but haven't seen the 14" 32/2TB either).

Best Buy is out, B&H and Adorama is out, Apple Stores only have M1 Pro models on both SoCal and New England sides of the country, and that's just about all of the retailers that seem to stock them. I've got a 14" M1 Max myself that I got in the very first shipment on launch week, but have multiple colleagues in need of one sooner than March. It's gotten very, very hard to scoop one of these! It's typically easy to grab prebuilt configs despite long BTO lead times, but seemingly not this time if you want an M1 Max.

I have not seen in store stock since product launch. I’ve also been searching for the 64GB/4TB build.

the store availability could be also due to the store being closed.
 
Apple actually updated their delivery dates this morning.

M1 Max 16 inch - 32GB/1TB to Feb 2nd - Feb 9th.

M1 Max 16 inch - 64GB/4TB Feb 24th - March 9th.
 
Dang, those delivery dates are late. May as well wait until the next models come out.

You're in Lincoln? brutal. I'm currently in Omaha. Here's what's going to happen. The FDX distro center is next to Eppley Airfield in Omaha, so your Mac should take a flight from KMEM to KOMA. Depending on the time of the flight, it will get in get its arrival scan, another departure scan, put on a truck, and driven down I-80.

Now, one thing with FDX is that depending on the shipping method used, if you are given an exact day for delivery, FDX will wait until that day to deliver, even if the package gets there to Lincoln earlier than the delivery day.

I say "should" above, because in looking at FlightAware for all FDX flights to Omaha, their flights are coming in from mainly 3 different airports: Memphis, Indianapolis, and Cedar Rapids. Without going down the rabbit hole of where the flights to Cedar Rapids and Indianapolis originated, there are different ways your Mac will get to you; for now, let's assume those flights originated in Memphis.

The KCID and KIND flights normally get in in the morning, with 10:20am being the latest. If FDX is on the ball with their scanning, it could be out on a truck that same day, but I seriously doubt it. So it will sit in Omaha overnight.

If your Mac is coming directly from KMEM (it's a single daily flight), it gets in around 8pm. So it will definitely sit in the distro center overnight, and get onto a truck the following morning.

So I'd definitely look out for it on the 11th regardless. It probably will not be delivered before then.

Yes but he accepted a pay cut and let go the rest of his offensive staff. We lost a lot of good players this year as well. There is eternal hope here in Nebraska though!

Finally received my 14" MBP Silver 8-core/16gb/1TB! It's plenty power for me. Order date 11/26, delivered 1/3, about a week later than originally forecast by Adorama. Keyboard is shorter than my 2011 MBP which it is replacing but I'm getting used to it (glad it is not the butterfly). I like the touch ID and beautiful screen. Used Migration Assistant to get all my data from my old Mac to this one. Only software disappointment was that my Quicken 2007 no longer worked :( So bought latest and got my data converted over, though it's not really the same program (hopefully I'll get used to it).

Now to need research 32" 4K monitors with USB-C power output!

Lived and worked there many many years - a shame the football program has gone downhill. Missing the days of stand out walk on players making the grade. Still mad the Huskers never offered Danny Woodhead, lol.
 
My 16" M1 Max 32GB/2TB order still hasn't moved into Preparing to Ship yet. It's been 4 days since the pending charge was put on my credit card. When I checked my order status today I did notice the delivery window had been changed and moved sooner - it's now Jan 13-20 instead of Jan 14-21. Maybe that means it's actually in process....

I also separately ordered a Polishing Cloth that was supposedly shipped. Shipping label created on Dec 30. Tracking info didn't show up for quite a few days, but it looks like UPS doesn't even have it as it only has the Shipping Label Created info in the details. Apple shows my order as "Delivery Not Completed" and this blurb: "The carrier was not able to complete your delivery. Due to the impact of COVID-19 and increased demand for online shopping, we recommend visiting "Track shipment" for the most up-to-date delivery information, as well as options to reschedule or hold for pickup." I think it was supposed to have been delivered by now. We had a lot of bad weather last week which meant not many carriers were delivering anything. Weather has been back to normal since last Friday though. I'm debating waiting another few days or seeing if I should call Apple or UPS to investigate. Any recommendations?
 
Suggest you use UPS My Choice smartphone app for tracking. I would definitely call UPS - Apple may help but once consignment is with shippers better off calling or speaking with the shipping agents.

I have UPS My Choice and it doesn't show anything different except the delivery window was supposed to be on Dec 30 :(. I tried apple chat first since UPS tracking said it didn't have the actual item in their possession yet. Apple created a new order for a new Polishing Cloth for me, and maybe I'll have it sometime in early Feb! They did state that if I end up getting two I have to send one back.
 
My 14” is due to arrive tomorrow. DHL tracking has not updated since the 4th and it’s still in Cincinnati, apparently.

Hoping it’s just not updated and it arrives. I’m only excited like this once a decade ?

Same boat as you, fingers crossed for tomorrow. Mine hasnt updated since the 1st.

So, with an order placed with an authorized dealer here in Toronto in the third week of October and unable to get any kind of an update from them....order still shows as processing for a 14" M1 Pro (not a Max)....I just went ahead and cancelled the order and replaced the order directly with Apple. Just crazy.
