macOS 13.7.7 installed atop 13.7.6 OTA, OCLP 2.4.0, runs as expected.

I got a kernel panic, during the installation the system froze, I think I'm in a corrupted state now.

Update:

I installed successfully, Monterey -> Enable screen sharing -> Download Ventura -> Start normal installer -> Install Root Patches via Screen Sharing

Have anyone tried Safari 18.6?

Can someone please share a link to Safari18.1.1VenturaAuto.pkg? All the links that I've found are dead.

Update:

I've managed to get the installer from the Web Archive!

1. You can download the biggest file here. Best if you do with `curl`
a. curl -OL 'https://archive.org/download/sucatalog_072-35775/Safari18.1.1VenturaAuto-20241120015244-00000.warc.gz'
2. Install the warcat utility, https://github.com/chfoo/warcat-rs/releases/tag/v0.3.4 it's rather easy to install
3. Then extract the warm file
a. ~/.local/bin/warcat extract --input Safari18.1.1VenturaAuto-20241120015244-00000.warc.gz

Inside all the folders you will find the Safari18.1.1VenturaAuto.pkg file.

Problem with Firefox uBO with Ventura (now 13.7.7):

As far back as I can remember need to click maybe 3 or 4 times before uBO displays blocked/allowed at any given url.
Wondering if any one else experiences this, and if so, any solution? (Particular OCLP version doesn't seem to have any effect).

E.g. current blocked/allowed for Times, after trying to open it maybe 4 times. (No such issue at all with Firefox running in another partition with High Sierra - opens there immediately).

This is great. I was able to get Safari16.6.1MontereyAuto.pkg in a similar way but used an older python3 based warcat instead.

MacBook Pro 9.1, ventura, OCLP 0.5.1 and egpu (Kryptonite) rx Radeon 580.

I have managed to identify the graphics card in the upper bar but it only speeds up the internal screen, I do not have egpu output to the external monitor. I installed Kryptonite and updated Lilu.
Are you still able to drive your egpu on it? It seems that Kryptonite doesn't work with the latest Ventura version anymore.

I had a full install of Ventura 13.7.6 using OCLP on a iMac8,1. I swear Safari (18.5) was just fine, however I decided to upgrade my WiFi/Bluetooth card to a BCM94360CD (maybe a hint that Safari is crashing because of some feature that depends on this newer WiFi/BT card - like continuity). After a long quest (I will write an article about it), if finally worked! You can see in the screenshot that I have even UniversalControl up and running.

But then, Safari started crashing, and I couldn't understand, and could only assume that was because of the hardware upgrade. I decided to do a fresh install, thinking that that would solve it. Sadly I wasn't aware of this thread haha

Now I have Safari crashing again, and I can't find the Safari 18.1.1 installer :/

Safari is my default browser on all my Apple devices, could someone send me the installer, please?

Still need the Safari18.1.1VenturaAuto.pkg?
Let me know.

Hello Good People,

Hoping All are well.
Thanks to this lovely forum I was able to successfully install Ventura which has been running on my MacBook Pro for over a year. I recently had a hiccup and realized I did not have a recovery installed. How would I install a recovery of Ventura for emergency cleaning etc.

Thanks

Hey deeveedee,

Good to hear from you.

While I have a system running Ventura, I cannot access Recovery Mode in the event of an emergency. It was a little problematic getting Ventura running on my system but it just worked out cause I never gave up. That being said I thought the Recovery Mode would be baked into the OS. No matter the key commands I cannot enter Recovery Mode.

The question is how can I add this Recovery Mode to my system in the event I need to access it for repairs etc.?

Booting Recovery require special procedure with OCLP
