The side reminds me of a blackberry for some reason.
I don't know if it has discussed before. Why did someone carry a non-functional phone to a bar? I can see if it's functional, it makes sense to bring it out and test it.![]()
*sigh*

Don't expect to be using a front facing camera for any kind of video/audio iChatting until the next generation of networks is in place. AT&T can't seem to handle webpage downloads most of the time - do you think millions of people trying to run live video/audio streams to each other is really gonna work?
Not gonna happen. Not with 3G. Not with AT&T.![]()
As I said earlier this is a counterfeit. I saw this in Japan early Jan. in Akihabara. It might've been imported from China where they produce for apple. And it might have been a prototype. However this is definitely not a final Apple design.
If so then the iPhone team working on the phone has an extremely different vision of apple products. This looks like your ordinary Prada/samsung.
It's got too much lines and is too edged.
I believe it might even be a hoax put forth by apple itself.
What we'd call a dummy device.
First of all, I love all the new features it offers, but design-wise, this can't be the final apple product. In fact, I gaurantee it's not the final. It doesn't have the clean apple look that apple's famous for. Not a horrible design, tho. But I know the final product is going to look drastically different than this. An iPhone with visible screws and replaceable battery? Puh-lease.

So with this new micro sim, how do we make the transition from the regular sim to the micro sim?![]()

Obviously they wanted to wipe the phone clean before losing any more information, making it impossible to use the location services. Besides it's not being held hostage, if Apple wanted it back bad enough they would know where to find it.If Apple did the remote lock down or remote wipe thru MobileMe (or the iPhone Admin Toolkit), why cant they use the location service too to locate the device? unless they purposely leaked this prototype to the hand of outsiders??
The firmware is obviously incompatible since it's made for a different device. No one besides Apple has a build of the firmware for this device.i think Gizmodo's next step should contact GeoHotz to get a copy of jailbreaked OS4 beta and install on it. If that's the real iPhone 4G, then everything should be working, including the front camera. And we'll have a jailbroke iphone before the WWDC![]()

Yeah, those visible screws on the bottom have me perplexed. Very un-Apple like.
has anyone noted the weight differences between the old model vs new?![]()
