You guys that keep asking for mac hardware updates and acting excited for tomorrow, I hope you realize that unless you are a developer, WWDC is going to be the most boring thing for you. This conference is not designed for the apple fans/consumers, it is for strictly for software developers.

but iPhone HD announcement will make us excited :p

cannot wait to downgrade my $30 data plan to $15 also ... :D

Hope you keep that new iphone HD on wifi then, because 200mb won't be even close to enough for any services the new iPhone would bring to the table... :rolleyes:

That really shows how much you know.

The keynote is not just about developers. WWDC has always brought something exciting, and I'm not a developer. You will see clips from the keynote on the news; the keynote is not just an event for developers. The entire conference is, but not the keynote.

Predictions:

1) The Mac takes the backseat this time. This keynote will be all about iPhone + iPhone OS! That means no Mac hardware updates.

2) No Apple TV, No iPod.

3) Everyone will be disappointed after, no matter what.

4) MacRumors will provide excellent coverage :)

5) I will try and sneak away from work to watch.

1. I don't agree. Mac OS X will take a back seat, but I wouldn't put it past Steve to update the Mac Pro and introduce a larger Cinema Display. He'll do that just to remind us that they haven't forgotten about the Mac :D

2. I agree on no iPad, but if the TV running iPhone OS rumors are true (as well as the other TV rumors), expect to see it shown off, especially as Google has pre-announced Google TV.

3. I think we can all agree on this one :D

4. MacRumors has always provided good coverage, but I also have tabs up with other Mac-related sites, to see how the coverage differs between them. That way I don't miss anything. :D

5. I am lucky enough to be able to watch the whole thing. Of course, being out here in Hawaii, I'll actually miss the first half hour and only "waste" a half hour watching the rest of the keynote. After that, I'll have to fully "digest" all of it :D Our work load tomorrow isn't the greatest, and I'm in charge of my shop, so I can make my own rules :D

What is with this Pro Apple bias at MacRumors? How come you guys never report Microsoft or Google press conferences other than how they relate to Apple. All you guys ever talk about is Apple this... Apple that. There is an entire world outside of Apple.

Try reporting about the new TVs Samsung is putting on the market. Try reporting on the formulation changes to Arizona Diet Green Tea. It would be nice to see a story about gas prices in North Dakota.

Please ditch your Apple and technology bias and write a good story about the proper method of tagging cows before you take them to market.

So far I'm getting about 8 to 10 hours of steady use making calls, using wifi, using 4g, texting, watching YouTube, taking pics. That's a step up from my iPhone, to be honest, and a huge step up from my 2g Touch, which can't even handle a few hours of solitaire and black Jack.

holy cow! 8-10 is very impressive indeed. seriously.

i am hoping that if the new iphone does HD recording, it's real-ish HD... that 20fps limit on the evo's 720 recording makes me sad.

i mean, it's awesome that you can record that on a phone. but you know... 20fps? suck.

but jeez, the size of the battery in that thing...

You're exactly right. Especially now that there's no keynote at MWSF in January anymore.

Didn't Jobs hint at something about the Mac in one of those published email exchanges? Makes me think there will at least be some Mac news, if not much.

Tier'd Mobile Me service
Free for MobileMe - Find my iPod/iPad & use of iChat would be SWEET!! I have virtually no iChat friends and trial is over. Hard to swallow $129CAN/yr if I'm hardly going to use it and I REALLY would love to use iChat & learn more of the Mac or even to use TC remotely for backups while on internet.

TC via Apple's service & storage sometime in the future - which is in the cloud, but can also talk to your TC.

iTunes web via https/ssl sometime not sure if Monday will be its debut.

After my usual phone conversation with SJ, here is what is gonna happen tomorrow:

- State of the Mac, iPhone, iPod and iPad, usual blablabla;

- iPhone OS 4, features as announced, immediate availability - later for iPad (September 2010);

- iTunes.com (streaming iTMS), iWork.com revision, 10.6.4 and Safari 5;

- new iPhone hardware, better battery, better camera, slightly revised design, better screen (the best in industry, in fact), nothing else of importance;

- one more thing: renewed MacPros and XServes, faster chips, better GFX options (for MPs), reduced energy consumption.

- Of course no new iMacs, no MBs or MBPs, MacMinis coming later (discreet updates on the Apple Store).

AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE.

Most sensible post of the thread. Couldn't agree more

Have a look at past keynotes... 2 iPhones were released there, Mac Pro announced, Intel Switch announced. Developers need Apple products to develop, so they need somewhere to announce new products along with special events.

You seriously need to look at the name of this site, read again, then realise why your post is being criticised

The beauty part is that you can easily swap batteries too, synch files with as many computers as you want, and store files on it. The more I use it, the more I know I'll never return to the iPhone.

Mobile Me is a joke. It should be free. It should be an incentive to get peop,e to buy an iPhone. You get much more for free elsewhere.
